IMO, the 40-nation coalition should put their resources together to come up with some standardized weapons systems. They can share R&D, productions etc....
That's really important but I think it will take them some time to understand its significance and implementation will take much longer so the sooner they begin the better it is.

.
You talked about the Serbian menace, that is what prompted me to clarify things..

Hope the Bosnians and Albanian troops will participate with a few hundred each as a symbolic presence, because as you know, 12 000 or 14 000 men armed forces are the equivalent of one Egyptian division..
Togo presence will be also symbolic, and is important for Muslims, since Usrael has infiltrated many African countries and can stir trouble anytime it wants.. who do you think was behind the Idea of the Ethiopian dam to threaten Egypt and disperse its forces and energy..?
China? Who is also financing it?

Caliphate is over...
Today everyone try to make by his own and if he can't then he use $ to get it... no one will Share his knowledge just for the sake of Unity.

Its not about Caliphate. its about having a similar military structure like the NATO. its common sense: pooling in resources takes into account the economic principle of efficient utilization of resources, be it technology or funds. and it will benefit everyone involved by bringing cost down and making certain systems accessible across the board.

NATO do not make Def research... It's the US via the NATO members to participate.. like F-35...

NATO like alliance among Muslim countries is interesting but it has nothing to do with Def dev. You need to have a country willing to share his tech ( with foreign funds etc...) and if a country has this power therefore they can choose only what they want to share... meaningCritical tech will mostly not be involved.

.
Great news, Saudi should focus on getting weapons from either Muslim countries or China. It is the need of hour. We all got to unite, work with China, develop our own technologies and then BOOM!!!!

. .
If there's no ToT or know-to-how making these Turkish/assembled weapons which I and including many cast doubt regarding its quality, then we should blame MBS, the one who promised to produce at least 50% of our defense needs locally and any upcoming contract won't be just pay/get way. Cut an arm deal on the way of pay/get with Turkey is like fasting for a long time then you break your fast with an onion not dates!

Then produce something on your own. :coffee:

To hell with Arabism, it only brought us the likes of Abdelnasser, Bashar, Haviz, Mubarak, Sisi..etc
We have to open up to our real brothers, Muslims, regardless of their race.
I totally agree with you. Most of the names you mentioned are puppets of US. That's why they're still in power. When they go against US, they meet their fate like Saddam and Ghadafi.

Beggars are not choosers. We Muslims, stopped advancing in the field of technology. We're lacking behind the west. They ask for premium price for their products and they attach strings to the use of the products as well. It is extremely bad. We all muslims got to collaborate with each other to strengthen our technologies. Look at China, all alone it has started competing with the west. In the near future their products might well be better than the west. Everything is possible with hard work. All we need is, right attitude towards growth and selfless leader. We got to strive for these two things. We can let corrupt and puppets of US lead us. If it is so then forget about any growth and any other thing.

No offense but comparing China with Muslim countries is a wrong point of view from multiple angles. All alone they have more advantages technically.

I haven't given preference to China over a Muslim country. All I said is, China is advancing extremely fast on each and every technologies. If all Muslim countries can collaborate with the Chinese, it would be extremely conducive for us to get out of US's slavery. China is a great country that can not only help you with weapons/technology but help you strong your economy. The $60 billion deal of Saudi Arabia and China is a great example of how things will unfold in near future. All Muslim countries got to work with China.

The real reason behind this coalition is to curb the Iranian influence. So, why are these African countries are in it?

First of all, East Africa hold the red sea, they're right next to Saudi Arabia and Yemen and hold many Islands in between them. This is important to Saudis and Emirates of course if they want Yemen totally surrounded and locked enabling them to ward Iran off the region, do good damage to Houthi and to ensure East African government won't have soft spot for them (hence the massive aids they give to them and military base they built recently).

For West Africa, it was a pretty big news that two years ago, Nigeria and the neighboring countries were suffering from Shiite militant groups, the massacres by the military and they already accused Iran of supporting these proxies who were trying to incite strife in their country. That was not my word but the government in those countries. It was no coincidence that some of the countries joined the Coalition because of that so they share common interest with the Saudi led Coalition.

The same for Sudan where relations between the countries had deteriorated sharply. In short, a lot of Muslim dominated African countries are affected by this.

So, Saudi Arabia view African countries more strategically important than the Balkan. Also, I believe Saudi Arabia have pretty good ties with African countries unlike the Balkan states. Balkan states are not affected by this, they don't have the problems that Middle East, West Asia and some of the African countries have and are totally disconnected from the MENA region so it would make no sense for them to join.

I can surely not imagine changing dates for onions in this regard.:omghaha:

I agree. There must be ToT if this rumor is true and we are really talking about a "huge" deal. Anything else would make no sense. Unless this potentially upcoming deal could lead to greater overall cooperation which will involve ToT. I trust MbS and the administration as I cannot see them acting against the goals stated in Saudi Vision 2030. That would be an own goal and not be consistent with the promising changes that have already occurred in the past 1 year in terms of enhancing the indigenous military industry and many other fields.

Muslim Sub-Saharan Africa, as I mentioned earlier, in particularly the Horn of Africa, Sahel and the Swahili coastline (the latter two are words of Arabic origin moreover) have ancient trade, cultural, religious, linguistic and even ethnic ties to KSA (Arabian Peninsula and much of the Arab world) on both sides. It would be utter nonsense to prioritize tiny states in small Balkan such as Kosovo, Bosnia and Albania (with all due respect to them) whose economies are irrelevant, populations very small (and declining) over Sub-Saharan Africa and in particular Horn of Africa next door. Regions whose populations are booming, economies growing and whose potential is many times greater as well as resources. There can be no comparison. In any case KSA has cordial ties with those 3 Balkan countries in question.

These africans are more ruthless fighters then East European.

No doubt in my mind about this either. Can you imagine Bosnians fighting somewhere in the Sahel, Horn of Africa or other hotspots in the Muslim world given the geography, climate, conditions etc. as well as people familiar with such regions and who have a long history of fighting wars in those regions? I cannot. Take the example of the Chadian army that I mentioned earlier. Those guys are battle-hardened and not guys that you want to mess with in their region (Sahel). Speaking about Chad it should become an Arab League Member state as Arabic is a lingua franca and Arabs form the second largest ethnic group in the country. I hope that they join one day.
