Turkey has now completed most of Kars-Tiblisi railway which will connect Turkey mainland to Baku through a railway , even Nato will use it during their retreat from Afghanistan in 2014 , this line will further isolate Armena , what did Russia Do ?
Turkey stopped 3 Russian Airlines carrying communication equipment over the past year , what did Russia do ?
Turkey built the BTC oil pipeline from Caspian sea bypassing Russia all the way to ceyhan , what did Russia do ?

Bottom line people here over estimate Russia , yes its a global power , but no longer influencial except in central Asia .
Russia has zero influence in the middle east except in Syria where Assad lost control over half the country.
China is even beating Russia in central Asia , lately the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline which bypasses Russia carried 50 billion cubic meters of gas and Russia was toothless to stop the project.

Simply Russia neither has the technique or diplomacy to win any influence around the world , their mafia style of dealing with other, mercentalism , and racism stops them from influencing any major Event like what happened in Libya , before Kosovo and Serbia right on their doorstep .

What does Russia sell to the world today except weapons and natural resources ?

To be a superpower you need to be more like USA and China where both countries export all kinds of products, major investors and have a strategic location close to major markets .

Russia is locked up in the north pole away from Everything except Europe " Nato " and Central Asia " relatively small market that is being ovetaken by china " .

Whoever wants to have any global influence must have influence in middle east , its the centre of the world and the major sea connection between Europe and Asia " suez canal " and currently Russia has zero influence in Egypt " American/Nato camp " .

it doesn't matter who gonna be defeated, in every war, both sides get damage, war means destroying what ever we made before. many people lost their lifes that we cant take them back. we saw the war between a super power with low equipped forces,taliban .how many people lost their lifes? how much it has cost?
