Lebanon= meddling in syria.

Punjabi Pukhtoon ?

My maternal grandmother is from the Barakzai tribe and can trace ancestry to Chaman which is on Afghan-Pakistan border, my maternal grandfather is from Yusufzai tribe, my paternal grandfather and grandmother are Shamozai Pashtuns who can trace their ancestry to Baluchistan.

We're not exactly "Punjabi" Pashtuns, since i don't speak Punjabi and neither do certain members of my family, instead some of us speak Urdu while some Punjabi, i guess it all depends on what language they grew up learning.

BTW, whole of Pakistan was a part of Afghanistan at one point, which is why you will find Pashtuns in many parts of Pakistan, even a lot of famous Afghan kings like Ahmad Shah (it is widely believed that he was born in Multan, Punjab) were born in Punjab and present day Pakistan:

Lebanon and Israel are not Turkey`s neighbors..About Armenia, Greece and Cyprus issues, they are very well known and Turkey wont step down..At the end, small countries with small threat..No big deal

Nonsense..We need strong economy and military..While all Europe is facing financial crisis we grew around %8.2 in 2011, the 2nd largest growing economy after China in the world..And we did that while we had problematic relations with the neighborhood as you say..Thats what matters to me..I dont care about greece or armenia, i mind my own business

Damn, Pakistan is perhaps the most multi-ethnic and multi-lingual Muslim country out there. All of which means a lot of potential if we know how to harness it properly !

Unfortunately we are not harnessing it properly, as can be seen in Karachi today. However, in other parts of Pakistan i don't think there is any ethnic violence.

I think Pakistan needs a mixture of Aryan & Islamic Nationalism. When I say Aryan I mean "Vedic Aryans" who happen to be the common ancestors of most Pakistanis. I might start a thread about this soon, however I don't want to discuss this here because it's not related to the topic of this thread.

Aryan Nationalism would be a kind of 'Ancestor Worship' and thus closer to 'Shirk'.

The idea behind creation of Pakistan was that no matter what our ancestors were, which languages we speak, what cultural practices and customs we follow - we are all bound together by the 'Ties of Islam'. Islam is the glue that makes us a Nation, otherwise the genetic make-up of Pakistani population is a genetic mix of all 3 major racial groups: Negroid, Caucasoid and Mongoloid. Any attempt of bringing the people together on the basis of one racial identity will backfire.
