At the moment, there is not much political support for "Turkish republic of northern cyprus". In the modern age you cannot form a union by military means. What Turkey should opt for is to improve relations with its neighbours Syria, Iran, Iraq etc. With time, this relation can emerge as a political, economic and military alliance like SCO. This would be a model union.

When it happens you will see Turkey putting its hand up for permanent UNSC seat one day supported by up to 60 nations.

Indeed brother, Turkey is having its golden-ages in Turkish history. Economincal and political progression is on a remarkable level. Insha'Allah we will say "No thanks" to EU, since the "Axis" seems to be more strategical for Turkey to improve. Look at Greek, that was the closest thing to Turkey, and the same could happen to Turkey.

And giving the west a lesson might be appropriate, since we have proven that we are a strong nation with our own regulations. And we can keep our growth for decade(s). There is no need for Turkey to join EU, EU needs Turkey more than we need them.

Afterall it is more "khair" to keep a stronger side with the Muslim world, especially after the Arab-Spring.
