The reason is very simple,Sir, could you please elaborate upon the urgency for procuring the F-35 as far as Turkey is concerned? From what I've gathered in the forum Turkey has deferred the order till the SOM carriage capable variants become available and due to certain issues with the source codes, right? Surely in time Turkey shall be able to work past these hurdles with the US and find a solution which is favorable to its interests, Turkey after all pulls quite a lot of weight in the region and alienating it will not serve the US's or NATO's purpose. But back to my original question, whats the rush- Turkey at the present moment already has a formidable arsenal with only Israel being capable of matching it in technological terms? Surely Turkey does not foresee any aggression directed towards it within this decade? Or will Turkey's force structures and naturally occurring modernization plans get pushed off schedule if a significant delay occurs, is that the reason for such a perceived urgency?
