Turkey and Israel Normalize Ties

Because Netanyahu is the prime minister and his equal is Yildirim who is also prime minister. Does that make sense to you ?
Yes, it does.

UN chief Ban Ki-moon on June 27 welcomed a deal between Israel and Turkey to normalise relations after years of acrimony, calling it a "hopeful signal for the stability of the region."

"I welcome today's announcement of the normalisation of relations between Israel and Turkey," Ban told journalists as he met Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.

What, mate ? We will be allies like the old days....I expect your praise from now on.

On a short notice....i read this news from both Israeli and Turkish media, read the comments below... It's easy to make up between states but by looking at the comments...seems like it will take significant time before both Turkish and Israeli people can make up.

A matter of time until another IDF operation in Gaza triggers more tantrums in Turkey, especially if your projected hospital/powerplant/whatever in Gaza serves for launching rockets and subsequently burns to ashes with its inhabitants.

Well...IMO, it's wrong to build anything on Gaza with my tax. I don't care about Palestine at all. Only important thing should be Turkey and Israel's mutual interests nothing more...

But you are absolutely right on your prediction.

I don't get why we bend our backs for Palestinians ? Their own "brothers" have forsaken them for the very same reason we should: not worth the effort.

it wise move,i look to the days when israel and somalia have diplomatic relations.

Go on, please explain in detail.
There is nothing to explain. I'm all for humanitarian aid to Gaza, but I don't want Palestinians elevated to the point where their interests trump the inherent interests (trade, intelligence coop, defense industry technology coop etc.) of 78 million citizens of the Republic. A pretty simple calculus

.
So much for those hypocrites who support terrorists in Syria in the name of caring for our sunni brothers.

. . .
Interesting observation...None of my fellow Pakistan members seem to have any opinion about a development...This is called smart diplomacy by Turkey...They just do everything whatever suits their interest....Kudos to you and your diplomacy...There are certain people in India,Pakistan and BD which feel that by having any relation with Israel means, you are going to be less Muslim than others...
