Helicopters having been unloading stuff at Drosh as per public videos, perhaps they have also been unloading supplies further ahead it's just that we don't know. There is a video where there is also a mule present. It seems that there is perhaps a shortage of them and waiting around for the relevant equipment to show up will waste time, so they asked if people would want to volunteer I speculate. The volume of munitions being ferried seems to be very sizable indicating perhaps presence of a large no of troops that are taking part in the operation. Why are civilians moving army ammunition? Don't they have helicopters, vehicles or at least mules or porters?
Some of the people in the video may also be porters, it's hard to distinguish as they were civilian clothing.
