I don’t have any problem with your “joke” if the area in question was different then I would have liked it but a little education is in order. For the greater good of the “innocent readers who half read and half understand things and then accept them as Gospel.

Fazlullah & his forces recides in Kunar and Nooristan. Which is, last I checked, under the control of Penjsehri forces of Northern alliance. It’s the same place where Indian erm “cultural centres” and field hospitals also exist near the borders. I doubt Indians can continue their “development” work in an area where “good taliban” will have hosting rights instead of the Kabul regime.

Its the same place from where the infiltrations take place and the TTP got fire support in the past against Pakistani check posts. During the North waziristian offensive, the Pakistani gun positions came under mortar attack from TTP and the radio chatter of TTP suggested some “professional support” in coordinating and moving the fire to target something a regular field artillery does through its FDC (fire direction control). For record, there were no losses and the reporting battery commander got air support to take out the hostile TTP mortar team.

I am not discounting the presence of “Good Taliban” in this area, they do operate here though conducting harassment attacks and ambushes but they are hardly in the position of “hosting” anyone.

So I don’t think your “good Taliban” jibe will work here.

doing such unilateral action while we are trying to facilitate and support the peace talks will jeopardise all the work done.
until and unless we get official request for action from the Afghan government.. we cant go targeting the TTP inside Afghanistan.
it is in our interest that peace takes hold in Afghanistan and Afghan regime and Afghan taliban reach some sort of truce. they are effectively the real stake holders.
TTP, Daesh and their supporters want turmoil and war inside Afghanistan which must be stopped

Capturing Fazullah is not going to solve the TTP problem. He will be simply replaced by another whatever ullah as usual. How much really do we know about TTP , its organizational and operational structure, logistics ? I am afraid that TTP alone can not be eliminated while other cross border terror networks are still operational. If you want to go after TTP , fix both sides of the lawless border.

Why not go inside Afghanistan and take him out? Mossad was involved in many assassins outside of Israel following the Munich massacre. Pakistan can even send its army inside Afghanistan and they wouldn't be breaking any international law as they can invoke the UN chapter regarding self defense.
