Trump rant against India casts shadow on PM Modi visit to US

This is the real face of global warming
160505102829-gettyimages-522830218india-drought-super-169.jpg

The heat waves, droughts, floods our region faces
You can be a denier but it wont make it unreal it exists, its happening and if we dont do anything about it the situation in our region will go from bad to worse cities like Mumbai and Karachi will become death traps in summers and cities like Delhi and Lahore will become smoke balloons eventually coal and oil will be phased out its only a matter of when
I'm not denying anything, of course the droughts and hurricanes and melting ice/rising seas, the bad air in cities all across India, China and Pakistan etc, the human pollution and filth in the ganges and in the seas is all real, these are serious issues and big problems that need to be addressed.

The problem with global warming of today is that it is a human triggered event whose effect can be lessened if all countries play their part Paris agreement was a step in the right direction
The human caused imbalance in our environment has caused an un-natural heating phenomenon
https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/four-climate-change-myths-debunked.491186/
here's where we part ways, I remain thoroughly unconvinced that human industrial activity is responsible for it.

your 'debunk' link is just more propaganda, I don't see the point in challenging it point by point now.

but if you're such a believer in "science", how do you explain all the previous ice ages and subsequent periods of warming on our earth when there was no industrial human activity ?

We shouldnot mixup a regional war with something that is affecting everyone from Peru to Malaysia
the global jihad is affecting everyone from Manila to Miami too.

Good, they'll no longer force us to buy retarded stuff like inefficient and overpriced solar panels from californistan that "create jobs in the US"

India forced to buy US solar panels? This is news to me? :o:

In a typical Mr. Trump style he has prepared the ground for Modi's meeting in DC.
In the apparent madness there is a clever method.

Mr. Trump wants Mr. Modi to come out of the closet and reveal all.

That is to say Mr. Trump is telling indians to stand up and be counted... from full American defence platforms to alignment in policies regarding OBOR and China-containment party.
Trump wants indians to show love with actions...

He is telling Modi that you can not have free lunches from both sides. Time to choose one or NRIs are going to make you cry.

Since NRIs are the real power of RSS... Modi is bound to fall in line...

In order to distract the public and opposition Modi will conduct another Surgical Strike or Demonitise something else.. political stunts with obidient media go a long way.

Mr. Trump is brazen but he is not mad.

Trump and Modi will form a deep friendship...all Mr. Modi has to do is come out of the closet.... and embrace one side. Modi can't go both ways for long.
You truly talked like a Pakistani from the heart.

Global warming is inevitable (already happening) and nothing can be done to reverse it. Eco-friendly practices are a step in the right direction but they won't save us.

Democrats want to dismantle American energy sector piece-by-piece to appease 'climate change' advocates but how would US address its debt crises in the aftermath? Democrats seem to be living in lalaland; they will bankrupt their own country with their shortsighted policies and rest of the world will also bear consequences. US needs its domestic energy sector to sustain its economy in the long-term. There is no other way around it.

Donald Trump is sticking to his campaign promises. He is not at fault here but Barack Obama who agreed to terms for PARIS AGREEMENT that Trump deemed as damaging to American energy sector. Trump also stated that he is leaving the door open for renegotiating the terms for PARIS AGREEMENT before considering it; a reasonable proposition.

All the resultant hue and cry is amusing to watch. Indians cannot have their cake and eat it too.

I LIKE TRUMP.

Hopefully he will utterly destroy Islamic extremism once and for all.

Look what happened in London again today

Modi will not last.

So Modi is inconsequential in the bigger scheme of things for India.

Are you sure, because from where I am looking at things he is leading the charge towards right wing RSS philosophy and the whole nation is collectively moving towards that. I hope you are right.

Dear chinese pakistani friend,

My fight is not limited to the narrow confines and cyber inbreeding of PDF.

I have my presence on many other weighty fora. As in real life.

The tide is turning quick.

Probably too quick for those who do not wish India well.

There are many Joes in India. If you put one down, another will come up and take up the flag.

Cheers.

I sure hope sanity will prevail.

Dear indian,

Dutchman.

I am glad that you understood what I wanted to say.

No one wishes you as people ill. In fact the opposite. Wish there was lasting peace and finally a landscape that has brought forth two great civilisation can flourish again.

If you have communications with the oldman Joe...do convey my greetings.

Despite his patent accid he is a man of letters which is valued above all. He still has to finish his first Platonic Solid...he left even before half way. Pitty!

You take care and mind the mad ones around you!

Regards,

SPF

Agreed.

He is a business man only counts profit and loss and have a attitude of Punjabi Jatt.

Really, a 2 year old child selling water have more business acumen and sense compared to Orange moron leading US.

You truly talked like a Pakistani from the heart.
And you an Indian who still can not get rid of superiority complex no matter what.

I initially thought it was sarcasm but the more I read, the more I feel it wasnt. Sure what the world needs right not is a man child leading the most powerful nation in the world.

Yes look at what happened in London, mean while completely ignoring what been going on in Middle east for decades thanks to US and its allies constant intervention, but who have time for nuisance.

In a democracy no one can be sure of anything till the votes are counted.

That said, some observations.

India is a huge electorate. And this electorate is a fractured electorate along many cleavage planes. Religion, region, caste, language, race (yes, we are more than one race, regardless of what the OOI loons would have you believe) being the important ones at the national level.

2014 saw an anti-Muslim Hindu polarization. No other way to be polite about it. The polarization was wrought on the plinth of targeting and hating one particular large group of Indians who were made out to be the villains of the piece for our Partition in 1947.

Never mind the fact that none of these, on either side, was even born then.

But the overarching sentiment was for change. Anti incumbency against the very corrupt UPA II. And a mistaken (in retrospect, 20/20 eyesight and all of that ...) belief that Modi would prove to be a strong man, an economic miracle worker, the leader India needed to make the next big step.

The last big step having come under, designed and executed by the Congress more than a quarter century earlier.

So rapid development and economic progress, jobs for our aspirational youth bulge, strong muscular policy and action relating to security (foreign and domestic), clean non corrupt governance were the plinths India voted for the BJP and Modi on.

And across the non Muslim populace in varying degrees a desire to see "bad" Muslims being brought in check and put in place.

Gujarat happened under Modi's watch. That bit of history is never going to go away. But the country needed to move on after 10+ years of intense legal grilling, during which the Congress, in power, tried everything.

But India is a Hindu country. And the Congress are not Muslim either. And Gujarat was not the first riot India had seen. And a burnt train full of Hindu passengers is a burnt train full of Hindu passengers. That is also something that is never going to go away.

So we voted for Modi. Knowing. But hoping.

Now 3 years on it is clear that this entity, the Sangh and the BJP, represents and will always represent, ONLY the HINDUS of India.

And over time, when they are done with the undesirables (non Hindus, first the Christians and the Muslims, and from there the smaller minorities), they will turn on themselves.

Desirable "right" Hindus versus undesirable "wrong" Hindus.

The country is waking up.

The intolerance and brain farts like demonetisation and empty words with pathetic results have both helped.

India is a poor country.

We will look out for No. 1 first.

And Modi and the goons are hurting the No. 1 of many Indians.

That's really the bottom line.

No fancy religious stuff involved. He's hurting and not helping. So ...

Well said, however I would like to add few things to it. India always claimed to be a secular country, atleast on the surface but as in any other democracy all the pitfalls of democracy are bound to happen will happen. Lot of my Indian friends (mostly from Northern India) did voted for Modi, and honestly they were striving for change. Having said that for minorities, they will not be able to overlook what Modi represents and his history.

But I must say you are over estimating the reach and strength of democracy, one man one vote can and will install worst leaders.

Any how I think Pankaj Mishras book Age of anger does present an accurate depiction of whats happening in India and how Modi was elected. The rise of RSS fascists ideology is the biggest threat is real, as majority of Indians did vote for Modi thinking he will bring change overlooking other aspects. India and Indians really can not afford to take their democracy for granted and rise of RSS and Modi is an evidence of that.

This really is the fight.

And yeah. I voted for him too. Equally guilty of convincing myself that he and his organization would be different on the national stage. That the spotlight would act as the anchor of temperance to the forces of religious fascism.

All in the name of being faced by one of the worst most corrupt governments in the history of independent India. And a shiny alluring "strong" and "proven" alternative.

We were wrong.
