If folks can find some story where Prophet Mohammad P.B.U.H ordered killing of anyone in anger for hurling insult at him or his family. Then I can perhaps understand the "Ishq-e-Rasool" Phenomenon a bit better.

May blessing be on the Prophet

When the man himself never ordered such acts, then why his followers should commit a crime in his name.

We have to keep trying our best for moderate Pakistan , with Original Islam , But if you all think you can talk logic or sense with that brigade then you are living in dream land , They are here for one reason only , with set agenda , very qualified (few of them) , They talk like boss , wont ask but impose there believes and questions , if you give them arguments you become extremists , talk about high moral ground but there life is empty from morality, some of them are confused , some have personal interests (easy way to have Visa or nationality).
Our job is very hard on our one side we have Religious extremists and on the other we have these Western liberal extremist . One want to impose there own religion (not Islam) and other want to take us away from Religion .
One exploit the cultures norms and values and other have no idea about our cultural norms and values .
In reality both destroy our Religion , culture , system , society , values .......... what moderate Pakistani stands for , For what our alders made this Pakistan.

It is indeed shameful that mainstream media didn't gave it attention this man is a hero he could've died too but what he did is commendable i always say we still have 1% of Maulana's/Imam's who can do a lot to bring in change in our society kudos to Imam Sahib.

P.S disgusting and sad to see some people are trying to score brownie points here sigh.

Imam's are most influential teachers of our society, if they start countering violence in our society by teaching peace education and benefits of paying Hqooq-ul-Ebad, I am 100% sure, problems of our society will disappear in very short time, because they are sitting in every street of Pakistan, and people listen them respectfully.
