Tourism booming with economy

The main reason is that Bangladeshis stick out in Thailand...and dont know any local language...and neither is there any direct 3 ways to sunday border between BD and Thailand.

So use your common sense you absolute idiot.

No one is saying that BD people that get visas (and thus screened by Indian consulates) to visit India are turning into illegals by overstaying or whatever (you do understand there is such a thing as entry/exit stamp data for border forces and Indian govt to look at right?...and have policy-revoked 20 years ago if any major discrepancy found).

Illegal Bangladeshis enter India by all together different means and reside there for all together different reasons (to BD tourists)....in fact getting their name on a visa database is last thing they would want to do.

I am glad that you are getting this desperate and shrill (given the political transformation of the N.E based on this issue) over what is going to inevitably happen in the short and mid term because of your illegals.

You couldnt dictate any terms to Myanmar....you have no chance with Dada. Open wide when the time (of our choosing) comes.

It's a valid point! But why don't India annex BD once for all? You are obvious in a love/hate mood with BD.

The day India tries to annex BD is the day when the disintegration of that unnatural country starts.

They are having trouble holding into 4-5 million Kashmiris, imagine 150 million BD'shi Muslims that hate their guts!

It would be suicidal for India.

Economy of entire Eastern and Northeast India is dependent on Bangladesh, if anything happens here the whole economy of Eastern and Northeast India would collapse.

Plus, the terrain of Bangladesh is not favorable for any invading force to occupy the land for long. Add to that the huge nationalist population of Bangladesh who would act as human wave against the invasion.

Instability in Bangladesh would strengthen the the separatist movements in the neighboring states of India, triggering the balkanization of the country.

India is a strange yet a unthinkable country! With 30% of hindus they rule a majority people of other religions. If India decides to overrun BD as they did to Sikkim I doubt BDers would react as hard as Kashmiris. Even under the control of hindus not many Kashmiris are making livings by moving to India.

Dude - India is 80% Hindu.

Do not let you butt-hurt at BD cloud your judgement.

BD Muslims will be ready to die in thousands to expel India from their land.

This is not about economy! If India occupies BD everything you have would be theirs what would affect their NE economy? Frankly India is not by any means dependent on BD, perhaps it's the other way around.

Imagine 165 million people living in a place similar to the size of Liaoning in China. Where the main export commodity is finished clothes who export because of the Low Development status given by Europeans. Would you rather annex that place or leave it alone.

@Nilgiri  watch, otoh it's a beautiful place (the greenery and water and all), the number of people around it is quite interesting.

I hope that you get alone with hindus as your Hasina shows to Modi. Don't talk big since you have such a huge number of BDers trying to take advantages working in India.

No-one is talking big here.

India will anyway disintegrate as it is unnatural.

Don't be shy! You did things even less sensable, like Sikkim, Butan etc.

India wouldn't be able to occupy Bangladesh in the first place given the reasons I discussed earlier. As for economic dependence, take a look at the link below.

The Other Side Of The Story: How India Is Dependent On Bangladesh’s Taka

India is heavily dependent on Bangladesh be it economy or security, without our help India couldn't even control the separatist movements in the Northeast.

Bhutan is an independent country. Sikkim wasn't annexed, it joined the union by voting that in parliament in favor of the union. Read something Chinese.
