Tough-talking Pakistan ‘rattled’ India

At least they are talking. As long as the talks don't focus only on terrorism inside India, which clearly they haven't, things look positive.

Regardless of what they say outside the doors, at least inside they are speaking about the issues. And Kashmir was discussed "briefly" is as big a piece of bullsh*t as I've heard in my entire life. Kashmir would have occupied, at the very least, a third of the talks. Otherwise the Pakistani delegation would have refused to continue the shambolic "talks about talks". To save face, they had to say it was discussed "briefly", otherwise their media would have burnt them aline.

Its a matter of perspective. I agree that the statement "Kashmir was discussed "briefly" is as big a piece of bullsh*t as I've heard in my entire life". My perspective though is..

Kashmir would have not occupied more than a minute of the whole day. Otherwise the Indian delegation would have refused to continue the shambolic "talks about talks". To save Pakistani delegation from being burnt alive by Pakistani media, they had to say it was discussed "briefly"..

In absence of any credible joint statement, one can twist it the way one wants to see it...
:azn:

The fact that they've decided to meet means they've reaches some sort of preliminary decision that satisfies both parties. We've already won the big battle, we got them to the table, getting them to talk about all the issues should be easy.

In my opinion the 1st bold statement above is a huge overestimation of achievements and second is equally huge exercise in over confidence if you mean all issues to include redrawing of Kashmir boundaries..

Hence, it only goes to prove, if proof were needed, as who was playing to the audience.

The tragedy is we don't know for sure who is running the show in India, Pakistan's former President Pervez Musharraf is on record for disclosing that Indian PM M M Singh had agreed to settle the Indian Occupied Kashmir issue but the HAWKS had their day.

I think you should be more bothered about who is running the show in Pakistan

So why India want a unstable Pakistan when both can progress side by side but ego and hypocrisy should be kept aside.

This is what we want India to understand that we can progress while living peacefully as good neighbours and there should be no place for false ego, hypocrisy and interference into others matters :coffee:

Indians have a lot more to lose from cutting off relations, political babu's there understand it but the junta does not and its very tragic for any Indian regime. Because each time diplomatic relations are called off, it ticks the indo-pak clock back by 5 years if not more. And India has the most to lose out of this equation, the international community looks at it as a diplomatic failure and a joke, thereby effectively eroding its image as well as dreams of becoming a regional power.

You are kidding I hope.. Just google the trend in India's credibility in the world against that of Pakistan over last 10 years and you will realize how wrong you are...

Pranab slams Pakistan, asks who runs the show

The reality is Indian set up has been some what surprised by Pakistan's Civilian Government's unbuckling attitude, which in past they have only experienced from the military governments, hence like an amateur boxer turned giddy by repeated blows, India is digressing to question the morality of the state, such attitudes can only be attributed to the cumbersome knowledge of Indian Mantris on the ground reality.
