my self found it is all fair in war and love, there is no such thing of moral obligation in war situations. It is either you kill or to be killed.
Tht happens if you are fighting a rival/enemy country .. not your own countrymen...
Apparently 10 Russian SU-27 are going to be upgraded & overhauled then sold to Iraq making the way for new SU-35 orders in the longer term and the F16's will be delivered within 2 weeks says another news agency.
Soon to be in ISIS hands.
Thats a good news. Iraq should also buy some Su-34 Fullbacks for strike roles.
As for training SOF, the SSG is helping the ISOF in whatever capacity it can. Unfortunately it takes very long to raise a fully functional and self sufficient SOF culture with a capacity of producing worthy combat commanders.
SSG kicks *** because its been there since the 50s and now has a powerful and mature C&C structure. From, COIN ,CT,Hostage rescue, Mountain warfare to, Covert ops, Submarine warfare to Arctic warfare and even Nuclear/Chemical/Bio warfare, SSG is trained for all of those roles.
ISOF is very well geared, only if they regularly train with our Special Operations Task Force (SOTF), which specialises in shock heli bourne night raids, it would greatly improve ISOF's abilities to conduct such critical operations.
During Swat op, SSG faced stiff resistence, but now they have drilled terror into the hearts of the toughest terrorists. So much so that instead of fighting, they just simply run or surrender during the Op Zarb-e-azb.
ISOF is only 10k they can't do it on their own, the masses of soldiers ( 200k + ) need proper training otherwise ISIS won't be defeated.
Putting 200k people through 3 months of intensive training is a huge project but required to get soldiers who won't be captured easily and who will actually kill many enemies.
I disagree. For the sort of war you are facing, what you need the most is not the numbers but tactics, precision weapons, intelligence and planning, all streamlined into a long term strategy.
We trained Sri Lankans and planned their operations. Finally they built their capacity and defeated the LTTE.
If Iraqi govt asks Pakistan of something similar, we would help Iraq, regain its lost territory to these pigs.
