At this point I wouldn't be surprised that the previous talks failed b/c it was PTI & not army that refused to release prisoners.

People blamed IK for afg mess w/o any proof. They completely ignored the pacifistic policy that was there even before IK took office. Ignored that even during IK's time we were shelling TTP. It's possible that airstrikes were the only thing he prevented but that's understandable given bad press & could be worked around.

Peace talks & political solution are not IK's own personal desire. It's very clearly establishment policy.

Did someone send them the email about the TTP calling the state kaffir, and it’s rulers and armed forces should be killed?
They will turn their backs on any agreement in a matter of seconds, they’ve done it many times in the past. I suppose these ‘rulers’ seem to know more than Amir Al mumineen hazart Ali(ra) who stopped negotiating with them and declared outright war.
It just keeps on getting worse. So many men have been killed at the hands of these devils yet it all seems to be forgotten.

I understand releasing senior TTP leadership for peace but peace must be a gurantee. The issue has always been that TTP which is a loose alliance of 12 groups always find excuses to attack Pakistan and its security forces. Pakistan claims to have good relations with haqqani network and Taliban but still TTP is not listening and those 2 powerful groups fail to support Pakistan to deal with TTP. Pakistan on the other hand sings songs for these people. TTP must be eliminated from Pakistan territories. In Afghanistan they can stay under Taliban control as they are both in alliance, its an obvious fact which people try to ignore.

I still believe the only solution for Pakistan is to fully back the anti TTP lashkars and eliminate TTP from the tribal areas, then build wall and mine it. Check points should be set up for border movement.
