Be realistic buddy. 2050 is too far.

We should target 2020 just like Kalam did.

For me, by 2020, we can expect more influence of India in regional and especially in international scenario.

Business with China is good for India. It helps in reducing tension and as our trade deficit w.r.t. will decrease, ties may get strengthen more.

India should focus on 3 pronged approach. US-Russia-China, these three giants. Rest of the countries will be easy to handle.

2 decades ago no one would have ever thought India will become such an economic power, owning British brands, getting militarily more powerful and advanced, getting self-reliant.

Same in case with China, which completely changed the dynamics of the world. No one would have ever imagined China forcing US to back off (look at Philipines case).

While no one can predict the future for its detail. However I am sure 50 years ago any people with reasonable foresight would agree that in the future India and China would be an important player in the world stage. For me I always have known the role India will play even before its economy pick its pace in the last century. So anyone who underestimate India is being shortsighted.

For India to become biggest economy, it needs radical changes from top of the pyramid to the bottom.

It has also to look at demographics, distribution of wealth, social structure, culture, education and religious tolerance.

anyhow this is current prediction for India to be top economy by 2050....so if today someone asks which country has the best chance or will be biggest economy by 2050? (a fair question) then TODAY the answer is India.
