Tommorrow Conflicts, the real conflict.

India doesnt sell nuclear technology on the black market, and not to pariah nations.
Pakistan, like any other country does have genuine power needs. However, China giving nuclear tech to Pakistan can be/will be misused to generate more stockpile of weapons. Given Pakistan's nuclear proliferation record, which country would want to invest their tech. Now why doesnt China ask Pakistan to ensure security in the region as a bargain for nuclear tech? China knows Pakistani nuclear stockpile is India centric, and yet China helps Pakistan with nuclear tech. What does that imply?
Let me ask you this - what will Pakistan gain from all this?

How do you know that India does not sell? If India does not first conducted nuclear tests, Pakistan conducted nuclear tests can it?

But some point out that the US has in the process bankrupted itself and now depends on the Chinese to finance her government, is that looking out for her peoples - truly a complicated world

I am not an expert in economics. But that is nothing like what you have mentioned. UK is almost a welfare state, but do you find their govt bankrupt? FYI, the last I heard was that US Treasury was the biggest buyer of US securities followed by Japan and then China. People in the know bout economics would throw more light on this.

But rest assured, Life has always been good here in US - and that coming from one of the last 3 states, development wise, in US.

I have never supported the war in Iraq. And I know many US citizens who never did. Afghanistan is another story.

Unlike North Korea, US has its priorities set right - it takes care of its own citizens, not only the ruling elite while leaving the masses to starve. One needs to be really detached from the world to compare US with NK.

Yet the war still happened, one might wonders why.

Yes, by treating other countries' citizens like utter trash. has ever a single day passed without innocent lives being taken by the US soldiers/private militants all over the world in the past 10 years? and when there's constant starvation in NK, what has US done? EMBARGO. that's a nation whose president must be sworn in with his hand on a freaking BIBLE. yes we should never compare US with NK, other than its allies/lackeys, US is much much worse to the rest of the world.

All nations that in some way or the other bow to the US. India is probably the most free, but thats the thing either one thing would have to give ultimately in the US-India relationship too. Either India would have to bow, or US would stop being friendly to India in the long run.

Though thick allies, France does not. Its as independent as China is. Russia is another "ally" of the west which does not tow US's line. BUt they are all allies. And so will India be.
Its not China's rise that bothers people, but its intentions - supposed or real.

That is too much of a simplistic view....China holds 7% of total US debt....saying that finances the US economy is really stretching it. Heck even japan owns similar amount of debt....never heard the Japanese say they finance the US.

Edit:

Also the term bankruptcy is used with too much freedom nowadays....US still has the topmost credit ratings that is possible...its easy to be carried away in small talk and not cross check the facts....

If Indian nuclear program was financed by someone.... you too would have out of courtesy shared the your know with them (turns out they were ungrateful).... that is a different debate altogether

Why should it... when it knows that most of India are Nukes are pointed in Pakistan direction and some in China's?

DId anyone question American motives when it was supplyng nukes to India, that it wont use its American supplied reactors to build warheads.... what gurantess did they give to China or the world?

If only the unemployed, could take succor in that.

There was a time 3yrs back when unemployment was at its highest. I was among them for almost 6 months! But things have changed for the better these last 1 1/2 years.

The US is then a rogue state. Normal states follow the rules of the UN. The US violated UN resolution on Iraq in 2003 when it unilaterally and unprovokedly used force against the sovereign UN member state Republic of Iraq. The US has in fact violated the same amount of UN resolutions as North Korea.
You mean like how China, along with Russia, France, Germany, dealt under the table with Saddam Hussein to secure oil vouchers?

And Russia like China is still not in the wests good books

No they have not, things have got worse -- please make good arguments. - there is some good stuff in your responses, refine them, sharpen them and present it

USA has a tradition of demonising the communists, they have been doing this for ages.
Communists deserves to be demonized. Nothing but misery and poverty wherever they impose their evil ideology.
