@WishLivePak

I don't know about the US but, in Australia, security clearance is only valid for a limited period and must be revalidated -- after 15 years for low level, and every year for high level clearance.

There is no such thing as 'security clearance for life'.

Also, every single document must be explicitly marked with the level of clearance that it falls under. People who hold top level clearance tend to be very conscientious and professional.

Do you know what is revision/revalidiate and what is reevalution?

You dont lose your clearence when you got your clearance revalidiate, much like a professional certificat, would your CPA qualification gor revoked when your currenct one expired? So any hiring a CPA would need to fire those who qualification about to be put up for revisit and rehire them once they are done lol? Same as lawyer, computer engineer and so on...

Of course, i will have to admit my choice of work is not good should not have said "forever" as you will still lose yours when you did something wrong (Like leaking information or have a felony record) but the clearence will exist and continue to exist in the period of revalidation. Cos simply you dont fire intel specialist citing no.security clearence when their clearence is about to be revalidate, you dont even pull him/her out of the job.

Much like a d4iver license, if your current license is about to expire, you go renew it, you dont need to take the test again, however, if you do not renew your DL and in 5 years, you will need to take the test again.

so unless you decided not to drive or you did something wrong and you cant drive, otherwise you can keep driving in a continous manner aubject to renew your license, but you dont need to take the test again

Same thing happened with security clearence

:china::china::china:

Get used to disucss with the Chinese members here, in other forums u will seldom to see a real Chinese poster from PRC.
No problems with that. You guys just need to debate like adults and with intellectual honesty, such as owning up if you are proven wrong or at least if your argument proved inadequate if not wrong.

I like to clear up many misconceptions about military aviation to interested laymen since that was a major part of my life. And I have done it with objectivity and experience as a trainer, not just to Americans but also to foreign airmen. The problem with you guys is that you do not like to be proven wrong. It is evident of gross arrogance. I have yet to see any of you, for all the years I have been here, to say even something like: 'Thanks, I did not know that.' Or: 'Thanks, I did not considered that.' when I presented technically credible sources to support my rebuttals to Chinese claims. And when you find yourselves backed into a technical corner of your own making, you resort to personal insults, often of the worst kind.

This kind of juvenile behaviors have been repeatedly noticed, not just by active participants but also by the silent observers of this forum because I received many emails about it.

I am entirely aware of the processes involved.

The relevant point is that you cannot have access to documents if your clearance is not currently valid. Your post implied that you get clearance "for life" which is a misleading statement.

In this context, even if the alleged DOS official had the necessary clearance, he would most likely have lost it (depending on how high level) when he retired and he would not have access to such documents, unless special circumstances existed.

true, but you will only lose your clearence either you give.them up uself, or you do something stupid and losing it, both of it is your own doing.

So technically a clearence can be your forever. if you want to keep working in the intel biz forever until you died

You forgot @CENTCOM
Anyway, dude you are one of the more sensible poster around here. Why do you have to go ad-hominem on him. If you have problem with the OP's views then counter them, not him.
centcom i have looked up. i have actually googled and checked us websites.

But this guy, the way he's coming off, i have to express my doubts. at first i did believe he was retired person, but putting the words he says together, i'm in disbelieve.

Well, i dont really take people from their face value and i dont expect people to take me as whatever i said i am. I believe in how people present themselves and it does not matter if you say whatever you are, if you said anything without value then it speak for themselves

take me for an example, i dont openly say what i do, nor i dont generally tell people what i do for living, and even people who actually met me doubt when i tell them i was in the military. They said i am too civilise and artsy to be in the military, so do i sounded like a soldier to you?

What alligence lies is a very deep and complex question, you can be one thing while you alligence lies in another. Again, thats the same as how i treat what people say they do for a living.
I mean, we talked, okay, but i dont actually know you, you sat behide one computer screen and i sat behind another. You can say you are whatever and loyal to whatever, but i cant actually see it lol

and come back to rhe final question, states secret and military secret is very decompartmentalised people general know what you need to know on your part and the rest for you is in the dark, but then there will be someone in the chain to know them all. so i dunno. When you are Workinf for NSA, you get detail related to you live, once you left, when there are no need for you to know love detail anymoe, then of course you will no know anything. But still you have your connection who might still work for some people, thats generally where the retired get their information.

WW2 is too far away, and there were no NSA back then, you wont know anything until you talkee to the right people
The information that is not meant for "retired" officials is ok? Got to be kidding me. See, the retired man has no obligation to not share the inside information, unlike the worker. Compare how much repercussions will a retired or working man will face.
