It is simple as hell if you attack India on side they will also attack from the opposite side there you have to go in defensive position...

I have been following Bangladesh air force for a while. How about a J-10 and FTC-2000G mix? J-10 performs air superiority, and FTC-2000G performs multirole with SEAD, A2A, CAS and of course LIFT. IMO it is way better than Yak-130 will ever get.

FTC-2000G can carry SD-10, CM-102 100km range ARM, anti-ship missiles, etc and will may have an AESA radar in the future that should allow engagement and termination of Mig-29, Mig-21, Tejas but Rafale, and MKI maybe not.

BD needs planes from two sources:

Western - take care of Myanmar
China - take care of India.

It needs a Western/Chinese mix.

I don't think you are going to find a Western platform that isn't overdoing it. I don't think BD needs a dedicated air superiority, more like a multi role light fighter.

I think FTC-2000G is best for BD considering relation with Pakistan. BD will never buy JF-17 m8. It can offer fairly good capabilities far ahead of what any F-7 can ever provide.


FTC-2000G is planning to get AESA and can perform in a fairly robust multirole platform as well as a trainer.

I dont think you are going to have a war with India and India is closer to Russia then to USA. India is also much powerful then Bangladesh so I dont think it is wise to see India as adversary of Bangladesh.

The engine is US made, it is true, but it will be licensed produced by Hanwa from Korea. The missile is not US made since it will be used MBDA made. The contract has been signed for Meteor missile integration. It is Myanmar IMO that should be seen as potential adversary of Bangladesh in the future and China also has closer ties to Myanmar than Bangladesh. It is already shown in Rohingya issue.

India doesn't like Muslims, therefor it doesn't like BD or Pakistan. BD can build up a force that can handle Indian air force Eastern Command in a couple of years.

F-16 for Myanmar currently and K-FX if Myanmar gets fifth gen fighter, and Chinese fighter for India would be best mix.

You can order J-10CE with Conformal Tank version too in order to attack strategic targets deep in indian territory, but it depends on your pocket and decision.

The only possible way of why Chinese fighters are not sold outside mainland China is because they still use Russian engine. It is why J 10 C with Chinese engine is open for export just recently. So you cannot ask Chinese to put Russian engine to its J10 C for you to buy since Russian will not allow it.

NO as of now i dont think so but i think @Deino is the best guy to answer it. They have hq 9-C underdevelopment with range of 200km+

The only possible way of why Chinese fighters are not sold outside mainland China is because they still use Russian engine. It is why J 10 C with Chinese engine is open for export just recently. So you cannot ask Chinese to put Russian engine to its J10 C for you to buy since Russian will not allow it.

Pakistan got a special waiver for the Russian engine for JF-17.
China made a deal with Pakistan for some 36 J-10As back in the mid-2000s but that got nowhere. Maybe the Russians refused to provide the engines.
