If you don't speak on your behalf then why are you speaking?
Yes sir , @Menace2Society has no answer for my question sir @war&peace

I have mentioned in my posts if you have a read through. Its to differentiate from the other stans. Create something unique to drive tourism and investment.
Wow what a great logic you have @Menace2Society :enjoy:

And why you don't change land from England its difficult to speak @Menace2Society :p:;):enjoy:

Gandhara doesn’t sound well, while instead of Indus I will prefer “ Mughal” name due to old history. Taxila also sounds well for our country name.
Taxila sounds beautiful.
Taxila is corrupted word for Takasha sila, Takasha is one of the mythological serpentine. I think ppl doesn't want to associate with snakes. But due to its rich history as a learning center, it would be a good choice. My thumps up for it.

Did you lose your marbles?

This title of "Islamic republic of Pakistan" is too harsh on the tongue. How many stans exist? Too many. Its too common. Need to become unique. Pakistan needs to be re imagined, reconstructed to be fit for the modern world.

Rename it.

I propose Indus.

It ties in with the cultural, historical and geographical heritage and separates it from all the stans especially Afghanistan. Its time to delink and and create a new identity.

Its not. Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan.

This is what the Kzakh president said about this:

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev doesn't like the name Kazakhstan.

"Kazakhstan has the 'stan' ending like many other nations of Central Asia. At the same time, foreigners take an interest in Mongolia, the population of which makes up only two million, but its name does not end in '-stan,'" he told onlookers while visiting a school in Atyrau, according to his official website. "Perhaps, eventually it is necessary to consider an issue of changing the name of our country into the 'Kazakh Nation', but first of all, it should necessarily be discussed with people." (His proposed name would be rendered as "Kazakh Eli" in English.)

Only weak minded imbeciles get frightened of what foreigners think :"at the same time, foreigners take an interest in Mongolia"

5. Pa.ki desh

6. Urdu desh

Stan represent a village or town center not a country.
Pakistan can certainly change its name.
It should start from "Islamic Republic" to "Peoples Republic"

Pakistan has an established identity and is not in the need of a name change.

Negative PR is the fault both of our inept previous governments and our detractors.

No reason to give these people ammunition to try to convince the world that we are not a real nation.

Pakistan is our nation and our identity which both represents our Mughal past and our commitment to Islam in the future.

Furthermore, concept of Paak perfectly represents our way of thinking. It means much more than pure, as it can mean holiness, purifying, cleansing, and reverence.

Lastly if translated into Arabic. Pak as Tayyaba and Stan as Madina. It is a representation of the Prophetic state founded by Prophet Muhammad (Rasool Pak.)
