Why is everyone in Pakistan after Polio vaccine providers life? Shakeel afridi did a great service to the nation by helping in getting rid of disgrace to humanity called Osama. Pakistani's should be proud of him but it seems they wanted the terror master to live longer and safe in their lands that they declared Afridi an outcast and now targeting every other polio worker for no crime of theirs. Is this a justified behavior? Such idiots attacking polio workers should be caught and punished as per the law. They are not part of the civilized world and people should realize that by siding with them they are only encouraging such a culture. It's not a healthy sign for a nation. If you need to grow then you need to throw this mentality away.



Dude, Shakeel Afridi or CIA is not a problem but the problem is you people are letting these insane minds growing to position of strength in the society. Please don't blame Osama incident for these acts because these fools would have found one reason or the other for doing what they want to do. CIA being a spy agency would do everything possible to safeguard American interests and people, individuals like Afridi would do anything for bucks. He being a doctor exploited his profession, if he were a cop or something he would do the same in other ways. There's absolutely no point bashing others when us despite of knowing all ground realities do nothing. Taliban and other enemies of the state can mislead the people but the government with all available resources can not undo, isn't it appalling in itself?

Even with a magnifying glass I can't see religious figures on a campaign against polio countrywide, no body even bother to explain the reality on tv, a medium accessible to everyone!

Polio story doesn't end here, we have been fighting polio for decades now, just because of the lack of the interest we remained unable to eradicate it. Had we put our best the polio would have been eradicated decades ago, TTP wouldn't have been misleading the people on this.

But u dont render the same curtsy nor feel the pain for the thousands of children that get killed either by ur military, or by your proxies because as per Allbright, the price is worth it because the 500000 Iraqi children died for a good cause.

So was it ethical, did it not exacerbate an already fragile situation.

First of all I don't understand why children are t being vaccinated in hospitals after birth. Why aren't parents taking their kids to hospitals for vaccination. Why do health workers have to come find you to give polio drops. If parents themselves aren't doing it then one must ask why bother going after them. Let them live like whatever they want.

People who helped us find him did it on their free will. Is that not the truth? Because Dr. Afridi was a heath worker; does it make sense to target all health workers? Many Pakistani children in rural areas are born at home with the help of a community mid-wife and do not have access to a hospital or a clinic. The United Nations wants to eradicate the Polio virus from this planet. Pakistan is one of the three countries that still have it, and the only way out is to have all children of certain age group vaccinated.

I'm sorry but was it ethical to invade Kuwait that led to the deaths of many in the first place? Was it ethical to put children in harms way for Japan when they attacked America in WW2 knowing that we be bombing them? Was it ethical that the Taliban is allowed to bomb your kids in mosques and markets and not be angered by it but it feels more acceptable, where Americans would do it and you are outraged?
