Three killed by bomb at Danish mission in Pakistan

Err.. I'm not arguing anything here... yet.

My post was a clarification of why I did not delete March's posts, but did delete the subsequent post by Talwar.

Thanks for not be neutral.
Will not use the "report post" again !

There is no difference between Danish news paper that published cartoons of Mohammed and some members of this thread. They act as catalyst for spreading hatred.

AM..

With all due regards to you and all, 23 March is a trifle over enthusiastic in what he misconstrues as patriotism. And what is more, his language would not be allowed in any Parliament.\, even though it would be most appropriate in street rallies, where duly hired personnel are selected for their prowess in sloganeering in the fittest soundbyte that excites the gullies!

Apart from that, he also exists

And as I see it, doing well, too!

Alright everyone,

I am not addressing March's posts in general, or prior posts (for which he has received infractions) but this one specifically.

Does Danish law means free to spread hatred speeches and images? i am pretty sure if some pakistani draw a picture of "Gandi" drinking "gaumutra" people would be really offended and probably kill few muslims in india..

The way I read it I see a very tasteless attempt to try and find an analogy to the caricatures and perform a comparison to support his argument. But the point here is that he did not just go out and say "Gandhi does XYZ", he said that the caricatures might be similar to someone saying Gandhi does XYZ.

Within the context of this thread his argument, used once, seemed appropriate to me. Now if he were to continuously repeat his Gandhi comment, and use it out of context, then it would be a deliberate attempt to denigrate and his posts would be deleted and infraction issued.

I appreciate your reply.

Tasteless indeed as it would be if anyone attempted to draw such conclusion of any of the Founders of our two countries, unless, of course it is a fact.

Poor analogy, but then I would attribute it more to a abysmal void in knowledge and education, more than on anything else. And hence, you would have noticed that I passed by without comment earlier.

Notwithstanding, it was most gracious of you to reply and clear the air and it does indicate the pleasing trend of superior and tolerant moderation that has lifted this Forum to great heights.

If it is tasteless, did March23 receive a notice/warning for that ?
I am sure the man in your Avatar would not have tolerated such statements.

Anyway, drop the matter. I have nothing to loose.

Salim,

The conclusions about Muhammed implicit in the Cartoons would not be considered "fact" by most on this forum, least of all March.

To put his analogy in that context would imply that the statement made regarding Gandhi was considered just as "factual" as the conclusions about Muhammed drawn from the caricature.

Talwar:

"unbiased" does not mean that moderators take action only as you wish them to.

You reported a post, I explained why I did not take action against it. That is my view, and I am not infallible, nor do I wish to make every single member on this forum attain bliss.

If you read my post again, you would realise that in no way do I subscribe to the cartoons on the Prophet as valid or that they are facts, when indeed they are not.

In fact, the cartoons are in poor taste and unwarranted. I have said that many a time and I do not find reasons to change this belief.

I was merely alluding the the Founders of the Nations of India and Pakistan.

Obviously, the person March is not aware that cow's urine drinking is not a pastime in India. I believe it is taken as a medicine as an Ayurvedic cure as is camel urine advocated by the Prophet as enunciated in Shahi Bukhari. I am not too sure that Gandhi was under this treatment and it does not matter to me what fact challenged and illusion haunted frustrated souls may rant about.

Doing what you think is right is not moderators job, there need to be set of rules to be followed.

I had already dropped the matter before you could close the subject !
