Three-day International Toilet Festival launched in India

. . .
I know I know, India is a civilized country. No need to cry like a baby

May India be victorious on this war against Toilet :omghaha:

Sahi.. jaise lungi chaap to kheton mein nahi jaate..

Perhaps because we are a backward, dirty people with no sense of personal and communal hygiene. Not sure exactly.

I think most of the problems are in the country side and involve schedule caste people. So unless India focus on these people, this campaign will surely fail.

.
You have the third largest HIV population in the world ..
Talk about numbers man!! 2 million out of 1.2 billion, yeah we deserved to be called HIV infected country. Btw, 98000 cases are in Pakistan as well. How come a paak saaf country has a disease like HIV? Must be the minority of Pakistan, I guess..

.
The campaign should call " teach an untouchable to touch the toilet seat while crapping"

Problem is people like us don't allow lower caste people anywhere near a toilet. @DRAY @scorpionx @INDIC @ranjeet etc are all living examples of this practise. So the challenges are many indeed.

Pakistan does not have numbers for HIV postive cases. These are only unofficial estimates. Unlike India, Pakistan does not have a program for HIV affected people either. May be they don't need it. Besides, this does not matter in this discussion.

Do i look like a crying persono_O.Practically speaking,i don't give a sh*t whether India is a civilized country or not as long as we are performing according to our potential as a nation:big_boss:.Plus our HDI is also quite good when we compare it with other South Eastern countries barring Lanka:azn:

.
This is good news. Obviously Indians are the only people without access to proper toilets today.

Its not only about access, In remote village its about choice..

I have seen elders in village don't go to close toilet, The prefer open ... The awareness need to be there,

Its not even economic problem... In many vilage house hold u can see color TV with Dish but u can't see toilet.
