Interesting chart, considering the amount China has invested into HSR. It really shows that for China it needs all options to be able to efficiently move its people and that enough of it’s people are using air travel, even more so then the US. I know there are 3-4 times as many people in China, but it’s still very impressive.

Once the COMAC planes start to operate in large numbers, does China estimate more people will use Air travel of it should be relatively similar. Perhaps COMAC will price its planes similarly to even domestic airlines to recoup their investment.
