Thousands celebrate the arrival of Superstar UCAV Bayraktar TB2

"The Russian hunter" has arrived in Lithuania and the people are going nuts. Thousands came to see the famous drone in real life. Couples, families with children, aviation enthusiasts - they all waited hours in line to see the TB2 before it is packed and shipped to Ukraine.

The drone is crowdfunded by the people of Lithuania.

As i read somewhere Russia has developed the countermeasure to this technology. The goodness of Bayraktar is that it is using good quality subsystems from multiple countries. A collection of high tech subsystems. But this feature beside making it a capable drone, makes the drone expensive hence hard and almost impossible to take it into swarm-attack level.

For Turkey it is a marketting tool, for the customer it is a big loss. Russia Ukraine war is the reason why this drone failed to make a major difference. Lack of swarm attack capability for the mentioned reason and its price tag.


The solution that Iran provided Tajikistan with Ababil drone is the way to go. You may lose them in the battle, your opponent may find the countermeasure to it but you can replace it with new products in a blink of an eye because if its domestically made components, leaving you steps forward than your your enemies.

Maybe you're confusing with iranian aliexpress drones.

Since customers refused the made in Turkey components, TB2 relies on foreign made subsystems for export. Don't know about domestic plans of Turks.

By swarm attack, i mean this :

Ababil drone. The one that is being produced in Tajikistan has a range of 240 KM.
