As I said in my previous post, when it comes to equality we have to set certain parameters, which is a different argument altogether. I believe women do have equal rights and special privileges in Pakistan but due to the prevailing lawlessness, i.e. no implementation of law (Law of the Jungle) a lot of men and women alike go through the grinder. I believe when it comes to equality we must have a common ground, Pakistan being a Muslim majority nation where the majority supposedly profess to be Muslims, has to derive that equality from religious texts.
