In August I was in UK for my cousin marriage. Girl mother was Indian who looked more like Saba Faisal in that video then typical Indian, she was Indian punjabi who converted to Islam to marry Pakistani. They had 3-4 daughters and his "conservative" father decided to move back to punjab/Pakistan so his daughters don't go in wrong path. Yes can you believe it?

Father born in UK and married to UK born Indian punjabi convert in love but when it comes to daughters he behave like typical Pakistani. Though daughters lived in Pakistan but spoke English like people born in UK because of their father and mother.

Some Indian Punjabi girls are pretty, but I can't stand their accents. I don't know why.

After living in Pakistan she spoke punjabi like us. I was bit of shocked to find out she was Indian initially then she turned out to be Indian punjabi and that made some sense. And now one of her daughter is married to my cousin in UK. At the end they ended up in UK and not marry someone from Pakistan. lol

Now that I think about it, people back in villages are very racist when someone marry outside braderi let alone Indian. Especially 25 years ago I can just imagine things were lot worse then now. I bet father relatives didn't treat them well at all. Maybe that's why they moved to city and were brought up there and ended up marrying in UK.

I'm half Pakistani and half Indian I have been to both countries and the differences are very small.

Do you live under a rock or something ? yes they do esp between Indian muslims and Pakistanis in the west or outside the sub-continent my parents are such examples- i've been to both India and Pakistan many times.

Do you live under a mountain? None of my relatives intermarry with Indians.

There was a female Indian member, @ajtr ( from before my time of membership ), who married a Pakistani man and moved to Pakistan. She was quite fierce in replying to trolls and half-minds. Used to quite Kabir poetry.

Secondly, as far as I know, all desis are treated the same in firang lands, so I don't know why @Iqbal Ali is being so angry.

Lolzz but i liked the girl turning down shoaib malik cause of his indian fling. Btw shes married and is working as a designer. So im sure she must be happy but i hate the fact how her father tried pressuring her into marrying shoaib, if what saba is telling is true. Why we force our girls etc.

Yes true about that guy you shared, i really dont get this attitude with pakistani men and even some women they would marry anyone they want when its their time but would make it difficult for their kids and will create barriers. But you know if one is from uk its better ro raise them in pakistan to fund a nice rishta cause apparently uk pakistanis find it hard to find decent proposals for girls. Somehow its weird pak girls in uk go on to work hard and study but guys dont go beyond hi school education and would turn out to be lazy time wasters. I know so many such families that i dont get why in a same family when a girl is achieving some career why her brothers cant.

Thats why many pak parents from their then import paindu grooms from pakistan who are greedy for uk citizenship those guys dont work, their wives support them and live in unhappy marriages. Ofcourse not the story of every family but this is what ihave seen in majoirty uk families.

Nah man men do the same as well, infact most mix marriage couples ihave seen are between pak men and foreign women, like a friends grandma was malaysian another friends grandma was jaoanese, another friends mother was chinese another ones mom was phillipinese, then we have shoaib malik who twice married indian women - i mean seriously if shoaib has this class them its bets he stays with some indian woman, then pakistani man and other arab origin women marriages. So most ihave seen mixed ones.

And in my friends cases they all were great lookig ppl its something if u mix pakistani rce with another one most of the times results do come out very amazing , tho the two gals i shared about , one marrying an indian and other bangladeshi then only in the first couple second child out of her two kids have taken moms looks.

I even blame our men who marry non pakistani women cause that way they are reducing rishta pools for their own women , if you see back home you will find out many women failing to find porposals cause apaprently every guys mother wants a doctor bahu with tonn loads of dowry.

I really cant get why they did it. The first one could easily have found a best guy in the world. Her UP wala indian husband isnt really bad looking as in avg she could have found many times better than him and the whole stamp of indian that comes on him.

Better, you betcha. Pakistani men have completely failed to lead and shape their society, they had the ball and they lost it so badly. But there's another thing...I have known cases of extremely pleasant individuals who were screwed over by their significant others...so it's a two way street. Historically the traffic has been more on the male side of the road in terms of brutality, hedonism, injustice, weak-personality etc. But the same traffic has significantly increased on the other side as well.

When it comes to equality we have to set certain parameters, which is a different argument altogether.
