This Might Be Huawei's Secret Weapon

USSR wholesale on democracy completely collapse Soviet Union and destroyed Russia economy for about a dacades till Putin came to power and retain some key aspects of state control economy and minimize the influence of the West.

USSR was dying way before the 1979 invasion of Afghanistan, in fact I would say the Sino-Soviet spilt of the 1960s and the invasions of Czechoslovakia, and Poland in 1968 led to death bells for the USSR

.
Thanks for quoting me, again ironic this was when the USSR was imploding and Russia only survived the 90s thanks to arms exports to China if were not for sales for China, the Russian Arms industry would be a thing of the past one thing I give cred to the Chinese they know how to sense changes in geo-politics and act fast
Money speaks,PRC orders were nothing it was actually Bhart and PRC combined which kept them floating for a while.
Russian Arms industry can't be thing of past, they have too much in hand, even PRC with such heavy pockets is struggling to catch them.

But the wholesale of democracy on was the final nails on Soviet Union coffin.

Russian-Chinese relationship in a nutshell

China-Gives us Gas,Weapons, women for our men cause of One child policy,

Russia-Give us investments and infrastructure and help fill up Siberia with investments

But the wholesale of democracy on was the final nails on Soviet Union coffin.

In a way yes

Btw Huawei has already local candidate to replace US suppliers

That sucks. It's the Android people look for and to develop a new ecosystem and get users to use them will take a lot of time. If at all people buy them. Maybe there are Linux based ones which people could use.

Either way, this is a real blow to Huawei.

. . .
This is the push they need to develop their own os.

.
US just cut off one of it customer, you rather your customer buy from you instead build something to self sustain and compete with you.
Its the Trump regime cutting off customers from US companies and obliterating the benefits their quasi monopolies. But these kind of people are known to even get away with millions from insider trading and favouritism while the rest of the contry is losing billions, even if their superficial policies fail to gain them any economic concessions they can pass of as a political victory.

As eager as sour grapes from Southern Asia pile up U.S. companies Huawei "depends" on as if they had never been in touch with any competing supplier, every straw they grasp for in first place equates to loss of sales, loss of reputation and threat of losing acess to a giant market for an U.S. company, other non-U.S. companies are eager to pick up.

It took almost decade for Android to reach that height, building a whole ecosystem backed by chain of services and apps is no joke,Huawei has to work very hard to achieve that fate.It would have been better if Huawei would have launched it's own ecosystem after it got stabilized in cell phone market.
It would take whole PRC cell phone industry to come up with joint OS to break monopoly of Google.
Or ulternativey, Huwawi can shake hands with Window guys. Windows has pretty well established ecosystem as well as they really are struggling as well.
So that may be match well in time.
But as we all know, android is Linux and for Chinese people, sky is just one step.

.
You only have to look how building your own ecosystem will fail. Look at the Amazon App store(anyone anyone?). Basically useless. Samsung has tried its own apps, and they decided that wasnt the way to go.

What if I told you this OS would be used by all Chinese phone makers, half a billion consumers easily. All of them are required to download that OS. Android is based on Linux anyway. Nobody said it was gonna be easy, but this endgame would have to come sooner or later. This could be the transition point where China achieves total independence. It will be hard and pain but we will work hard as we have done for decades.

You have no idea how things work in China do you? Android is based on Linux. What if they create an OS and requires all Android users in China to switchover?

And all phones in China are required to run this OS due to national security. It's as easy as that. Do you know how many app developers there is in China? I reckon 5 years to maturity. US is creating a monster, previously the Chinese industrialist still believed US will play by the books and remain open but now they are acting in desperation to compete. Instead of trying to improve themselves, they are desperately hiding behind US protectionism.

Microsoft is still an US company...........
