This is Why Islamabad is Better Than Lahore and Karachi

Where did I accept Karachi lags behind from Lahore/Islamabad......Infrastructure of Karachi became mess due to Sindh Government, it is still quite good although needs up gradation....

Its people who make cities vibrant...People flock to Karachi because opportunities are here and people are open minded...We are professional bunch whole country admires....Despite having less than 10% population of Pakistan, we did a lot for Pakistan...(just mentioning our contributions, definitely not done any favor on Pakistan)

We have everything except our good representation in deep state government...We are everywhere in Pakistan working for it individually but collectively we still need to do a lot.....

Lahoris are alike villagers...We Karachiites have been living in cities for centuries....Hell a lot difference in culture and people...

When we were ruling city under Mustafa kamal, everyone had seen what Karachi became....losers not ready to do something for Karachi nor allowing anyone to do themselves...
today Lahore and Islamabad is much batter than Karachi, don't disrespect Punjabi, and i live in Karachi, and i have to say Karachi worst big city of Pakistan with no management, forget about the past, i am quite happy to see Lahore is flourishing because it is in my Pakistan:pakistan:

Never been to Pakistan but would like to know on what basis people here claim Lahore as better than other cities say Karachi? Coastal cities IMO are always better.
Well every city has its own culture...

Karachi life is too fast as it is the financial capital. If you consider the weather then mornings and evenings are pleasant though humid due to sea breeze.

Lahore is more livelier because the people are more hospitable and like to eat and party. Weather condition is hot unless one visits it during winters and spring. Lahore fits perfectly to the saying More the merrier.

Islamabad being a planned city is well organised and has more corporate flavor...Weather conditions are hot but frequent rain is also associated due to water bodies around. It generates its own weather due to topography it might be very hot and then raining then hot and humid...

Faisalabad is a newly developed city which is fast becoming an industrial hub. Though it is also famous as a hunting paradise. Weather there is usually hot and dry desert like.

I don't disrespect Punjabis...they are nice and hospitable people...I was just having comparison about the backgrounds...More power to Lahore and Islamabad....

Regards
Karachiite...

In Karachi, you will notice buildings everywhere but the environment is dusty.
The reason is coastal cities have humid air which carries sea spray that accumulates on the walls of buildings. Lack of rain causes this to form thick layers. The air density is high due to water molecules hence the pollution level increases. This is visible at night from miles when approaching from the sea.

Greenery is utterly lacking. Public transportation services are lacking
Public transport is there but it can not cope up with the population. Circular railway is non functional otherwise it would have taken most of the traffic.

The problem of plants is there because every place is being constructed as the population is growing by the day.

Water supply is also poor. As soon as you leave the airport, you will get the impression of a cramped environment and lack of planning (if you are coming from a better city).
Water flows from North Karachi is South so water scarcity is natural. Soil water is sea water as Karachi is mostly reclaimed land from the sea.

Lahore is not as clean as it used to be 15 years back. It lacks taxis it is all Riksha and Ching chi.. Tanga were replaced by riksha and now they are the masters. The metro is only for Ferozpur road...till they connect it with the other city it does not fulfill the requirement.

You were talking about superior planning of Lahore...soon Gujranwala will be added to Lahore already DHA Lahore has almost reached Wagha...Without personal car one can not travel from Baharia Town to DHA as there is no clean public transport...So much so for your superior planning.

Islamabad is no doubt better than both Karachi and Lahore, but my favourite city is Kalam in Swat, beautiful, green, clean and has a lot of snow and very close to Malam Jabba so anyone can go skiing. Many glaciers and lakes are close by. Solar, hydroelectric and wind power can be harnessed to power home and office, the right size of the city and one can enjoy the best cars in Pakistan :)

They think we are owners of mantions in F sector (╥_╥)
@User

:D they may have lived with some relatives in mansions in Islamabad that's why they did not get the chance to see that Islamabad has a street and a Gali with the same number in the same sector. The houses in street and gali are totally different in terms of size and living standard of their occupants.

The demographics and weather of Islamabad have changed a lot. Now you witness women riding at the back of the bikes like men sit on the bike (crossed legs vs ...........) and you will find kachi basti right in the middle of few new sectors, these women and their families are definitely from Lahore or Punjab. Then there is a quite a number of prado running idiots from one specific community (that was displaced because of ops) who have no civic sense at all, they have money but lack a lot when it comes to how to live in a capital city. And finally you do get a chance to meet Karachi businessmen in markets owning different shops. Plus persian speaking Afghans they were the first one to disturb the peace of this city.

Though it cannot be compared to Karachi and Lahore due to sheer size and popultaion of those cities, however give Islamabad sometime and it will prove nothing less than those cities in terms of garbage, crowded streets and bayhungham traffic.

P.S: Faisal mosque is over rated I don't get why praying or having ones nikah in that mosque is considered more wajib ul sawab by people of Islamabad.
