In Pakistan if you desecrate ANY religious item or book from most known religions you will be beaten and then dragged to the Police station from where you will be trailed for blasphemy. Around 98-99% of all Blasphemy cases are against Muslims who were turned in by Muslims them selves.

In India you would get beaten, lynched and killed for pulling a stunt like that against HINDUs only - while the police will be standing in the corner watching desperately and doing nothing. In the west it all depends on the community.
