Aye there is only so much one can value a turncoat legitimacy. I am reminded of a US naval commander when talking about a japanese turncoat (who helped a big deal in cracking Japanese codes and giving their intelligence strategy), names escape me....but the USN commander basically said, he helped us a lot, but we could never truly trust such person after it.
However for purely political things like this (rather than military), I feel there is more depth to the message of defectors.
@Desert Fox @Psychic Not surprising to see level of cheerleading from the infected quarters....the ones that have sold their base dignity for simply highest bidder and do the sockpuppetry on demand, even when it concerns their own compatriots lousy treatment/suffering at the hands of bidder/overlord.
My best wishes towards the true Pak patriots that know much better.
I guess when it come down to, it's all about how you work your source.
Usually when one defected, they will put a tail on that person and basically turn his life upside down and see if he/she have any dirty laundry to hang.
There are ways to verify defector story, but I am not at liberty to say how as this is a trade secret.
All I can say is this, whether it is political information or military information. What you are doing is basically try to paint a big picture with information you got at hand, and every piece have to be well suited with another, if one piece does not fit, you will know where that come from, and know that piece of information is a fake.
Again, since I am not involve in this, and I wasn't really got paid speculating, I don't have an interest to see whether or not these 2 defector is legitimate. Those are ASIO officer's job, lol...I had enough of this with my day job already...I need some off time.
