These Countries Poised To Become “Renewable Superpowers”

sounds good but no offense I see you have a huge problem. Turkey manufacturing is weak, you import too much, much more you export. that is not sustainable than in the long run. Turkey relies too much on foreigners to finance deficit and debts.

In contrast VN is on the move. Soon we will export more than Turkey and your friend Indonesia combined.

Well i dont know much about your country so ı wont compare our countrys export potentials. But Turkey does have problem with imports. But Its not because of lack of heavy Industry its because of Energy resources. We manufacture quite a lot actually. Your premiss of "Turkey manufacturing is weak" is dead wrong. We just dont produce oil or natural gas. Thats way our imports are bigger then our exports. Right now its about 60 percent of our economy is controlled by foreign companys. But like i said, they are foreign companys. ı dont see whats the problem with this ? Also you have to think about Turkey's geographic conditions. We control dandanelles Strait and İstanbul Strait. And that gives us the power of controlling Black Sea and we also control land traffic between Asia and Europe. Lastly if you take a look about distance from Istanbul and other capital you will see that Turkey is literally in middle of the World. Of course we attrack foreign companys.

No. I am an alien in disguise. My intention is to enslave lazy idiots and put them to work in dirty cheap pho restos.

So what we need are machines that can extract the resources without risking the health of workers nor populating the environment.

Viola the dollar can flow to power our economy and our army.
I dont think such technology has been invented yet that can protect rare earth miners from the health hazards they get exposed to during mining of rare earth metals , thats why usa thus far has never gone big on production and many countries recycle rare earth etal products why else do ypu think you are asked to return old smartphone by accepting small money instead of throwing in garbages. Maybe with time techs may improve or workers gear as some of these metals are somewhat radioactive in nature

Man i was talking about rare earth miners only ,the viet guy junped in to twist my words , why take it personal.
His personal problems, the Vietnamese people are very good, we are still friends.

Rare earth is a non-renewable resource, it will be less and less. We limit exports. Not only us. Even US ceased mining rare earths. but US accused the Chinese government of manipulating prices. Sue us at WTO.

Rare earth minerals are abundant actually. There are larger reserves of rare earth minerals. Or they are not rare.

Correct me if I am wrong, China imposed a ban on rare earth minerals because Japan arrested a Chinese captain (merchant Ship). Or is it a fishing trawler? Not sure, anyway. China did control the prices of rare earth minerals. Until they decided to play hardball with it.

China also invested in Turkey? Which Chinese company?

But the rare earth is a non renewable resource, BTW, Japan is strictly forbidden to export.

Problem of foreign companies: when they withdraw from your country and change their factoriew to other one that have cheaper worker salary, then u will face with very high unemployment rate, ppl have no money for food, water etc that lead to uprising in your country.

Thats the reason why Trump wants US companies to invest back to US now to reduce unemployment rate.

if Turkey closes the year with a trade deficit of $100 billion, I believe you have a problem.

It is reassuring to read posts like this.

First, it is clear that you have no idea of what began and what followed; an unprovoked attack by one member is completely ignored, a rebuttal of that attack becomes Rundi Rona.

Second, it is good to know that what all the world has been saying about Pakistan supporting terrorism is true after all; your mail shows only too clearly where your loyalties lie.

Great job. Keep it up.
Why don't u take my comments to UN and get pak sanctioned as u Indian have been trying and failing to do so for so long ;)

No need. Cutting off your funds and making you stand hat in hand in front of your allies is good enough.

The grapes would be sour for u now won't they ;)

I don't understand.

English isn't my first language,so help me with this one.

Grapes are sour indicates that the comment is made by someone who can't get something desirable, but pretends that it isn't that desirable after all.

Now, we are talking about a situation where investment in my country is not limited by any particular issue, apart from our own inaction in creating an investment-friendly administrative system, rather as the Chinese did.

So what desirable thing are we supposed to have found undesirable all of a sudden?

Grapes are sour would apply to you, on the other hand, because all of a sudden, foreign investment, that your country needs as much as all the rest of us underdeveloped nations do, is under a cloud, due to the recent decisions about compliance with money-laundering and with financing of terrorism.

Please let me know in what respect I have got it wrong.

My point was Indian were first dancing that pak economy b destroyed after being grey listed but since u failwd now saying wouldn't have done much to deter Pakistan

Not rare but because the minerals are spread widely throughout the earth’s crust in small concentrations that in most cases can’t be mined economically.

In the case of VN, We need money, expertise, machines to tap the wealth. I believe we can turn to America. There are many US companies with experience in the field. Big hole then day mining rare earth pretty much similar to mining other minerals.
