True that comes with huge environment cost, and the reason why Vietnam is hesitant to extract rare earth mines. We have large titanium reserves too, close to 600 million tons, worth probably more than $3 trillion. But again, not easy to tap the wealth without sacrificing the environment. Of course we need money too, to invest before we get a dollar out. I wonder how the Chinese manage it. They are the largest provider of both rare earth and titanium on the world market.Rare earths extraction is not easy and the processes involved cause hi cancer incidence amongst miners thats why china currently dominates the market.
