What's new

There is a big sale on Udemy

Check the Tiobe Index:

Nice share, this is fascinating. I hope that C++ rises in popularity but it's future still uncertain.
Is payoneer option is also available in Pakistan?
What payment options does it show in Pakistan?
I am not a freelancer so I never had to use Payoneer plus it can't be used to buy Udemy courses. But yes, Payoneer is available in Pakistan is widely used be freelancers. These are the payment options that show up in Pakistan.

With tools like github's copilot eventually maturing the whole development landscape is about to change

Go to the comment section of the second article you posted, the one titled C++ is the new Python. What do you think about the comments over there?
Everyone on the internet has an opinion and this thread may end up going down that path with eveyone pitching their language of choice.

Thats regular. And there are free python on youtube. The tuts im looking for are never on udemy

I recently get my Google IT support Certificate from Coursera, Thanks to @SQ8 as he did tell me about that website. I really want a job in IT but my Degree's are in Business and Economics and that is keeping companies from hiring me on a IT job, any recommendations ?

You have to pick a specific field in IT before anything else. Which field of IT are you particularly interested in? Since you are a person with a business and economics background, have you tried researching the fintech industry? You should be able to see a lot of opportunities in hedge funds, stock and crypto brokerage and banks.

What are you looking to study?

Some of those comments did have valid points though. Aside from legacy systems(which will probably be phased out in a decade), low latency programs, video game development and robotics, where else do you see C++ being relevant? I am here to learn, I would like you to prove these points wrong.

Aren't these enough modern application for language which you consider to be mostly academic or dead/dying? Not to mention almost all modern operating systems, browsers and killer apps like Photoshop are written in it.

If you don't like C/C++ then by all means avoid it like the plague. You can have a successful career in IT without having to declare a single variable in C/C++. But if you want to me say C/C++ is irrelevant then no. Even COBOL and FORTRAN haven't died yet.

I never stated that C++ is irrelevant or dying, that would be incredibly stupid. I simply said that its relevance has declined over the years and will continue to do so looking at the current trends. C++ requires a lot of hard work to master. Obviously, I will have to learn the basics of C++, which is something I can not avoid thanks to my university; however, mastering it is a whole other game. Right now I am focused on data science and machine learning. From there I may go for full ledge study of AI or I may switch my field by going for cloud computing or blockchain development. Considering that, should I avoid C++ after learning it at an intermediate level or should I study it further and become a professional C++ developer?

Like I said if you don't see much use for C/C++ in your career path then there is no need to master it. Master the tools you believe will make you job ready

Have you tried it personally? If yes, then how do you rate Soloearn?
Yes I am using it personally, it's very good, bite sized information which is quite easy to comprehend as opposed to huge books that overwhelm you. However it's better with a premium account since it gives you more practice. It allows me to not depend on lessons in my Java course as a part of my CS degree I'm currently doing.
