I am not a software developer, but i have much interest in it,
i had talked windows desktop developers,they all recommend C# (C Sharp),
I had checked google, on Quora people were recommending Python, but i think C# is better..

Udemy offers many courses besides programming ones such as marketing, personal development and even music.

No one should go anywhere near C. I get why you said that, it is because you want to build a strong foundation. For that C++ is a far better choice.

What do you want to do? No need to waste time and money on unnecessary stuff.

I have hardly ever seen flutter developers. For app development, I mostly see Java and Kotlin developers. Flutter is purely for front end stuff right?

Yes it's a UI framework but you can also use any other tool to power it's backend. I personally use firebase

I joined during coronavirus days (April 2020) so our test and 1st semester fee was waived off. I applied in IOT this year and I was told i don't have to give an exam.

I know that but why should one even bother him/herself with C when C++ is available. Do you really think that a beginner should start with C++ if he/she will never use C++ in the future? I am asking this because my first language is C++ and I will have to keep studying C++ until at least the 5th or 6th semester in my university. The fields that interest me are cloud computing, AI, machine learning, data science and blockchain development and I don't think C++ is being widely used in any of these fields.

@_NOBODY_ rather than rating, look at contents. If they seem useful, ignore sound, presentation etc. Most of the audience today expect Netflix level audio video quality even in technical courses. I am also a student at Udemy, and trust me, I gained a lot from the courses which had very bad ratings.

Do you really think that a beginner should start with C++ if he/she will never use C++ in the future?

There is so much code written in C/C++ you never know when you will run into it in the future. Any serious programmer should have a passing if not working knowledge of C/C++. Right now it has made a sort of a comeback

The beauty of Udemy is, sometimes you learn that stuff which no other training will deliver it to you. Sometimes excellent material.

I have never paid more than Rs 499 (Indian) for any course on Udemy. Most of the time a sale is on, and if not, I apply some coupon from couponcause.com. They always work.

If you are just exploring programming and do not have any career track in mind, I would suggest going the web development route. It is a more holistic field and will expose you to both frontend and backend - UI/UX design, user authentication, databases, git, deployment, etc. A single decent sized dummy project will leave you very satisfied.

The best part about the course that I have bought is the heavy emphasis on practice. I previously bought a C++ course and it was great; however, the professor gave too much info at once and that course hardly put any emphasis on practice. A person can watch hundreds of coding videos but that will not make that person proficient in coding what he/she has learned from those videos. Practice is what's necessary for learning to code.

Of course, only a fool would buy a poorly rated course. Also, any course that one buys must have a large number of reviews and most of them should be positive.
