THE YOM KIPPUR WAR : THE ALGERIAN CONTRIBUTION

You were not able to comprehend what i said. You can say as many awful one-liners as you want, just DON'T QUOTE me with them.

I thought the point was to say as many awful one-liners as you need, not as I want.

Who told you Adam was Jewish? He did not have an religion.

This thread is cute though, A swede and an Indian both discrediting Egypt even though they have good relations currently with Egyptian government. Shows you that their hatred of Muslims take them to interesting lengths to point where they bash their allies. It lets Egyptians see their true faces.

BULLSHIT

How did Adam (PBUH) not have a religion? Was he not a Mu'min? The Sahabah of all the Prophets and Messengers (PBUT) were Mu'min. It's when they deviated from the original teachings their religion changed.

The point of my post was to point out the blasphemy coming from Egyptian "scholars" and "politicians". In calling Jews or anyone who opposes their extremist views as pigs and apes or their descendants. When Islam itself is creationist. And this blasphemy comes from other uneducated Mullahs as well.

Nationality has nothing to do here. Just because the Swedes and Indians have a working relationship you think that their citizens cant engage in dialogue?

The point of the thread is clear, you have an entire country brainwashed into believing they completely won a war. No one can deny the complacency of the Israelis after their decisive victories in the previous wars. But to think that a static line would be able to hold back an assault when entire doctrines of wars have dictated mobility is absurd.

Bullshit Pinocchio, you and him came for simple fact that you hate Muslims. I don't see the same attitude towards other threads regarding wars with non-Muslim nations.

If i'm the "him", then you should know better.

How can we open threads regarding non-muslim wars? We all know N. Korea won the Korean War that too against a combined army of 21 million foreigners, armed with nuclear weapons, jet fighters, stealth planes, all because of his Holiness Kim Jung's superior leadership and his pet Godzilla.

ok then tell us why you think 73 war was a defeat for Egypt

I wouldn't say it was a defeat, sure Egypt accomplished what they wanted, complete return of the Sinai, but that too hinged on the ability of the Egyptian Military to not lose anymore.

For all the showmanship of liberating Tel Aviv and the destruction of the Zionists, the question of Palestinian statehood was agreed upon in separate framework that is so vague the only was to understand it is just to read the title.

.
Not you, but yes Adam was Jewish he did have scriptures.

Christian, Jews are modern concepts. Their ancestors, those who walked, talked, dined with, and lived during the time of their Prophets were Mu'Min. Once they deviated they took the name of their religion they have now. At least this is my understanding.

for every war there are different goals and balance of power
48 war the goal was to free palstine
56 it was invasion by france britian and isreal on egypt to retake the suez canal and maybe change abd el nasser and his regime they failed in the end
67 war isreal was threatening syria so abd el nasser ordered the army to go to sainai in what general shazly called it a militry protest more than planning invasion we were taken by surprise and we lost
73 war after suffering a defeat and many losses we had to rebuild almost everything in our army and with no airforce or mobile air defenses to cover advancing forces into sainai sadat and the army made their plans to retake sinai by negotiations in a postion of power our army is to cross the canal destroy the bar liv line and inflict heavy losses on the isrealis untill they call for peace and they did

Will you perhaps secede that the Israelis had no military advantage in claiming hold of western suez canal?

. . .
If he had tried real peace negotiations first, then he might have succeeded.
Barlev , as the German fortification in Aquitaine were built with the idea that no territorial concession would be given. It is just history that decided otherwise. If the Egyptian army didn't attack and threw the IDF out the Suez, Israel wouldn't have negotiated an inch of the Sinai..To remind you, that she negotiated, a peace settlement with the Palestinian Authority too..What she gave in Camo David, Ariel took back and more and was left, Natanyahu walled up. The only thing that Israel respond to is force.

Sadat sacrificed a lot of Egyptians because of internal political considerations.
He might have been wise in doing so, for if he had tried to do real peace negotiations before the war,
he might have been assassinated before an agreement was signed.
Sadat, committed a lot of errors , but dislodging and pushing back the IDF is not one of them..

hahaha which lose? we kicked the Israeli as*es and destroyed their Barlef line which, according to them, was the strongest defense line in the history which needed nuclear bombs and both the American and Russian armies combined to destroy it, and guess what? we destroyed it using high power water pumps and could cross the canal :D We kicked them back from the region in Sinai that was covered by the Egyptian air defense umbrella as was planned and didn't leave even one millimeter from the conquered lands till getting the entire Sinai back .. We forced them to go and cry for mama America for help otherwise they would use nuclear weapons to save their entity and existence from the Egyptian humiliation that's why the American hurried to send them a continuous air bridge of weapons in what's called Nickel Grass Operation to save their as*es. We put the Israeli noses in dirt and the so called invicible army myth was destroyed forever. When they tried to make a TV show and propaganda with the photos they got from their American masters who used the stealth blackbird jets against Egypt and were directly involved in the war regarding the gap between the Egyptian 2nd and 3rd armies, they failed to do anything. They failed to enter Suez or Ismailia before ceasefire and Sadat was ready to destroy the tiny brigade of Sharon which even had no air support. The war forced Israel and the US to commence negotiations with Egypt to get our entire land back. Israel, which is a nation built on occupation, expansion and stealing others' lands, never gives land unless it was severely humiliated :D
It has been 50 years at least relate facts...Sawt El Arab era of embellishment is gone.

You have to add another element to the equation.....USA and it's endless support to Israel we were fighting against the Americans and no country in the world including yours can win such a war against them except Russia .

This is SR71-A an American that flied over portsaid along the Suez Canal south to suez then the Red Sea after that entered the Main land along the River Nile to North to its bases in Europe with speed Mach 3 and altitude 25 KM and no Egyptian Air defense missile can reach that. Day 13th of October 1973.

the Russians did the same thing for the Egyptian with their MIG 25

This is an Egyptian soldier pointing at the Kilometers of an American Tank that captured near the Canal which is 220 KM which is the distance between alarish airport and the Canal.
Russian were supplying Egypt, as Americans were with Israel...It is known fact and it has nothing to do with the change of the course of the war. The tank with few mileage, was cited by Sadat as the reason he stopped the war because he cannot fight the US. If that was true and if the US were bent in entering the war, they had a plenty of reason since one of their transport plane was shut down over the Sinai.

Why ruining their epic stories about their decisive victories? ;)

This is purely for their internal consumption, it keeps stupid people stupid, and preserves the balance of power, which is comfortable for Israel these days.
We are discussing facts.. Was it hard for you to come to terms that Egypt outsmarted you overblown ego of the super Israeli soldiers ....Wake up...Like our Indian PDF, it was the first time where an Arab army handed you @ss...
so please limit the sarcasm and contribute in a constructive way or abstain..

Buddy, really 700 soldiers!??! I am having a hard time believing that..
why its hard to believe? it is a fact, like the picture above shows it, it is just Ariel, his second in command and his driver that escape alive...nothing strange...

You are correct, but it really hurts my eyes reading such claims... Its pathetic at best.
This is not a claim , that is historical fact...Sure it was pathetic for Sharon, it was pathetic for the Israeli people, it was pathetic for those who believed in Sharon and greater Israel....Ariel Sharon knew who he had to deal...and both sides did what they had to do..

It hurts my eyes too, but I simply add the authors of these claims to my ignore list. :-)
I have never paid much attention to your kind ether ...But facts are facts...Israel is another middle eastern country locks stocks and barrels. In North African eyes you were never the super soldier that the world made you to be...The fact is the 8eme BB drove 4000 kms to reach the Suez and on the morning of her arrival she deconstructed Sharon Tank brigade and the 700 or so troops that were protecting her.

This was then

Not a super soldier then ..not a super soldier now...

Ugh , who cares Won or Lose in a war before like 40 years .. i really wish to see another war between Egypt and Israel .. like reaaaaaally wish :D

Please don't write a check that your @ss can't cash....We are discussing an event that changed the middle east , and you are asking for a rematch , just like there isn't enough wars in the region already...

I think the IDF fled across the Suez Canal and brought a lot of Armour with them.
The cowards did not want to fight the ATGs in Sinai, and instead destroyed SAMs
on the west bank. Everyone knows that SAMs vs Armour is no real fight.
Then IDF continued to flee south, and the Egyptian 3rd army disgusted with the IDF
just running in circles around them went on a hunger strike.

On the Golan front, IDF first went into a headlong retreat at a static position,
and the Syrian Army routed them by moving forward suicide tanks that exploded
within 1,000 yards of the IDF, just before the IDF could fire at them, causing great
consternation and drop of morale in the IDF, which had hoped their scheme to measure
distances to known positions on the front, would allow a lot of tank kills.
This plan thus was foiled.

The retreat on the Golan Heights took IDF back as far as Quneitra (20-30 km east of the Heights), as was claimed by the Syrian Army, but in reality IDF was even further west, when hostilities ended.

Yes, a big defeat for the IDF.
What you wrote is of no interest to me, but ILMO at the dumb @ss that gave a positive rating to your sarcasm.....

Egypt only managed to occupy a small strip close to the canal during the Yom Kippur War.
If Israel had put priority on keeping Sinai, then why negotiate a peace agreement.
They could just have kept the large part of Sinai.

In war like in business , it is always good to negotiate from a position of strength....If your theory is true, then tell us, why Syria who endured the blunt of Israel counter attack with more territory losses in 73, didn't regain her territories to this days. They did try to negotiate a peace settlement. Jordan too, didn't recover her lost territories after the signing of a peace treaty..neither did the PA.

and allowing the egyptains to plan another attack except this time there wouldn't be a bar lev line or the suez canal to stop them after they move their sams forward + the point of the 6th of October war/ Yom kipper war is to prove that egyptains are not gonna give up fighting even if the odds were against them and that the only way isreal is gonna have peace is not by building a fortified line and the suez canal and airforce but only by giving the egyptians their land back

I think that it is probably harder to attack through the hilly regions, than across the canal.
The area around the Mitla pass is difficult.

lets say that the war ended with egypt keeping a foothold along the entire suez canal isreal strategy before the war was that any big assault would be halted in the barliv line for hours days maybe until they can call reserves and react if there is nothing but desert and our air defense made it to the other shore we have the numbers to rebuild the army and start the war from an even a better position than what we had in 73 or start a war of attrition with no sea to make it difficult to enter or exit and lets see who can take losses more it was the wise thing to do from both sides
