Today, my collegue said "WTF is going in China....i heard they are oppressing Turks there".

I told him the situation and asked where he did hear about it as he is not interested things beyond Turkey...... He said that was on news yesterday.

Good to see my people finally be aware of Turks in China.

If you can prove China IS targeting Islam, instead of just separatists, while at the same time prove Turkey ISN'T targeting Islam while killing Muslims right now in the mess that is the Middle East, then sure, China is targeting Islam.

Does China need a Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King? Yes. Does China need to apologize for some of its actions later on and answer for some others? Yes.

However, is China actually trying to commit genocide? No. Is China actually trying to make Uygurs life miserable as a government policy? No.

China is making mistakes, it is correcting others. Some effect all Chinese, some effect a minority, some effect a majority.

Turkish members are making this personal, it isn't.

The Uygur population is seeing real changes on the ground within their life time, some good, some bad. No one can be perfect, and there are side effect of all changes. Integration has resulted in more opportunities for all, but it also brought the dominate culture of China into a essentially non Chinese part of the country. It takes time, and really it's not forced. China is a lot of things, but successful is also one of them, some may choose to be "different" to remain "backward," most others would choose to identify with their country of birth.

You can make the argument for independence, but as of this moment, the fact is other than FORCED deportation, Han Chinese is the dominate and majority race there, and a lot of the other minorities in Xinjiang are also more Chinese than Turk, especially since a lot of them are not Turkish at all. That's not to say it is good or bad, just a fact that people need to accept.

Nothing which is the right thing, should be followed by Pakistan, i dont agree with other Turkish posters in this regard.
Everyone follows its own interests, thats what Pakistan and Turkey should do, first thing Turkey should do is to be on good terms with Israel again which is already happening.

Turks dont care if they are Muslim or not,they are called Uyghur Turks and thats why we care.

Your countrymen accusing Turkiye of supporting terrorism in your country is big bs and you know that,so why these claims and why dont you educate these members?

First most videos are just A-holes, you see what you want to see. It is not Chinese government policy for its citizens to take the law into their own hands and it's certainly not the norm for the government to increase mistreatment of minorities. If you believe it is, nothing more I can say.

Chinese government is just as powerless in dealing with A-holes as any other government is. If you are going to take the actions of a few, you also have to believe no Turkish origin people can ever be A-holes themselves and do these despicable acts. Then I can say all Uighur are terrorists, because whether you want to believe it or not, acts of terror like killing via knife, bomb or other forms of violence, makes them terrorists in any country including Turkey and they did happen.

There are biases certainly, but that doesn't excuse them from committing acts of terror or those A-holes from being put in jail or executed. Terriorsts exist doesn't make all Uighurs terrorists and nor does a few A-holes make all China anti Uyghur.

Turks dont care if they are Muslim or not,they are called Uyghur Turks and thats why we care.
