Pakistan needs to know how to play the game. Pentagon is one piece of the puzzle. If Pakistan wants F-16 they needs to work on the congressmen and senators. Spend right amount of money on lobbyist firms and US will be willing to sell F-35s to Pakistan. An average congressmen seat sells for a million dollars, Senator for 3 million. My US.Govt professor was a lobbyist by profession and part time govt teacher. You gotta be willing to wine and dine these politicians to get your way.LOL................ yeah right!.......... usual BS from 'State Department'.......... anymore lies you'd like to add yourself, Mr. Digital Engagement guy - or would you also like the support of your pets on this one? Let me save you the trouble and do it for you...... @Syed.Ali.Haider, you're needed here to halal your stipend!
Furthermore, waiting for Trump to be elected next P.O.T.U.S, he surely is going to fvck things up for eons to come....... that will put the final nail in the coffin of India America bhai bhai as well.......
my friend trump is not what he seems... he is a very clever white business man and his relations with nawaz sharif will be closer mark my wordsI hope you Cancel the Deal of F-16 and elect Trump who will ruin Pakistan and US relationship once and for all ..
"that efforts to stabilize the Afghanistan and Pakistan region and improve our bilateral ties remains a priority."
The US's first mistake is putting Afghanistan and Pakistani into the same category. You want to stabilize Pakistan? Help Pakistan stabilize Afghanistan through talks, and stop pandering to India's and Kabul's anti-peace stances.

It is not about putting Pakistan and Afghanistan into the same category. We are highlighting the shared threat of terrorism faced by both nations. In fact, the leaders from both nations have also acknowledged the importance of mutual cooperation against those who are conducting their terrorist activities on both sides of the border. The bottom line is that we cannot have a safe and stable region without a safe and stable Afghanistan and Pakistan. The goal remains to create a healthy working relationship between our nations for the sake of achieving our shared goals in the region. As far as your concern about facilitating talks with Afghanistan and ‘pandering’ to their anti-peace stance - as per many media reports today: the peace talks are back on track, and the meeting of the Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG), was held in Islamabad today.
