The Third Cargo Flight From Afghanistan Lands in New Delhi
The third air cargo flight from Kabul is going to land in Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), New Delhi on 30th July 2017.
After the official inauguration of the India-Afghanistan Air Corridor on 20th June 2017, the third air cargo, carrying fresh fruits such as apricots, melons and fresh fruits juice is going to land in New Delhi today and the fourth air cargo which will carry 45693 Kgs of Asafoetida (Spices and herbs) is due to fly from Kabul and arrive in New Delhi on 31st July 2017.
With the establishment of India-Afghanistan air corridor, the annual trade volume which presently stands at around $700 million will increase to the target of $1billion set by the governments of both nations.
furthermore, to promote the Afghan exports to India, the traders will only have to pay $0.2 per kg for exporting their goods and the rest will be paid by the government of Afghanistan as an incentive.
The plan, initially announced during the Heart of Asia Ministerial Conference in December last year by the principals of two countries, is intended to further improve and cement bilateral ties between the two countries through developing sustainable trade linkages.
