I graduated (BSc) in the subject many years ago, once I completed my studies I no longer had any participation in the subject as employment prospects in the physics field were not particularly good at the time.kudos

You guys do realize that the ice reside on land too? So when it melts it goes into the ocean thus increasing the seawater level. They aren't talking about the sea ice, they are talking about the glaciers and polar caps that are on land.

Brilliant polymath physcist Freeman Dyson is also a skeptic and one thing I have never understood is if the ice caps melt how will that raise the level of water, a simple analogy would be to get a glass of water containing 100ml of water then add a chunk of ice which will raise the level to 110ml, once the ice melts it will still be 110ml.

Melting ice does not increase water level. Archimedes discovered that thousands of years ago.

Here your assumption is whole of the ice is in water.. There is lot of thick ice on land. When it melt it will flow and mix to the oceans to increase its level.

Second...Water density is not static every where so is the mass. The ice concentrated on the pole will on melting will start concentration towards the equator due to earth rotations. That will cause the major increase in the level.

and hence more rain on land. which will further increase level of our existing aquifers. Plus carbon di oxide will bring more greenery. both these plus points can transform desert land in agricultural land. ''Theory of realNapster"

Yes that is a good thought..But tell me how is a person living at the coastal area blamed for all the mess related to climate change happening inlands? All the major pollution (air) is because of the human activities inland, not on shores. If you really think human population need to be reduced then it should be inland population not the coastal area....
