Great, so you admit you belong to the Afghan ethnic group.
But before that i am Pakistani.
Darn, Talk about senseless.
Look dear, let me explain this to you.
I am born in the U.S.A, But I belong to the Pashtun ethnic group.
Therefore, I am an American Pashtun.
You are from Pakistan, and you "Supposedly" belong to the Pashtun ethnic group, Therefore you are a Pakistani Pashtun.
Now, for you to make fun of the word "Afghan" you are indirectly making fun of yourself, Historically speaking and presently speaking, Pashtun means Afghan. Afghan means Pashtun. If you disagree with that notion, You might as well say you are not a Pashtun.
According to your POLITICAL PARTIES, They all say they are Afghan.
Notice, There is a difference between being an Afghanistani and an Afghan by ethnic group, even your country characterizes you as an Afghan. So not sure, where you are going with that argument.
The ruling party of N.W.F.P, Has said LIVE that they are AFGHAN. But Pakistani by nationality, I mean, I have no clue how you might consider this confusing.
Do I really have to post videos of YOUR political parties talking about how they are Afghan and how much THEY LOVE and ADORE being Afghan Pakistani's? We are talking about MAJOR political parties, ANP AND PMAP which presently RULE N.W.F.P.
Are you aware that one of the proposed names of N.W.F.P was Afghania? Have you wondered why? Have you wondered why when you google the word Pashtun or Pashto you can't stop seeing the word Afghan? Have you wondered why Pashto is also considered as Afghani by many?
If you disagree with any of the above, Your government and your political parties will not consider you Pashtun. Feel free to identify yourself with someone else.
If you are so proud to be afghan for last 1400 years
I am sure you are proud as well, since you are also an Afghan Pakistani according to you.
or whatever why you have US flags.
Just like how you are a Pakistani Afghan(Pashtun) he might be an American Afghan(Pashtun) If you can be a Patriotic Afghan ****, why can't he be a Patriotic American Afghan(Pashtun) Is there a problem with that? I mean, I think he is also from Pakistan, but as you can see, It seems like he has a better understanding than you, I blame that on your countries education which is based on useless memorization.
and by the way even we are Pakhtunz we are Pakistani first.
That is fine, You can be an Afghan and be Pakistani first. Its your nationality, either ways, Afghans(Pashtuns) put the "A" in Pakistan, so its the same thing. Long live Afg-Pak, It doesn't make a difference for me at all.
We know what kind of people are spreading these propaganda with fake ids of Pakhtoon and loya Afghanistan.
That sentence merely made any sense, But I'll assume you meant people are propagating false ideas? How so? Do you disagree with Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan? Do you not like being an Afghan(Pashtun).
When someone asks you about your history who do you talk about? All Pashtun historical figures have proudly acknowledged that they are Afghan(Which you are as well). I am sure if the argument comes to history, you are quick to start quoting Pashtuns(Afghans) who have conquered parts of Persia and have ruled modern day Pakistan and parts of India. No one here is attacking "Pakistan" At least I ain't. All I care for is my people to be HAPPY. Apparently, my people are treated HORRIBLE in Pakistan therefore, I am not quite happy. Pashto is not taught in N.W.F.P, All my Pashtun brothers are considered "Sarhadi", little to nothing is being done to preserve our culture. 99% of the Jokes are on my people, hell, even the SMS jokes are on my people. That is my argument.
I am not from Pakistan or Afghanistan, I am a Pashtun(Afghan) who is an American. Plain and simple, take it with a grain of salt or a smiley face but my people are being tortured and are facing exoneration, Quite frankly to mention they are caught up in someone else's war.
The war that displaced millions of my Pashtun brothers in Pakistan has caused Chaos for Pakistan.
Right now, Try visiting Baluchistan and Waziristan TRY calling them a "Pakistani" they will spit in your face. In Quetta, a Punjabi can merely live a life, In fact, They have even been victims of target killings. Why? Ask yourself why?
Any Pashtun who does not believe he is not part of the Afghan ethnic group is simply not a Pashtun. History,Pakistani government,Political parties of Pashtuns in Pakistan all co-sign on this matter. Have you ever even bothered Wikipedia'ing the Pashtun ethnic group, I tend to consider Wikipedia a lazy man's first source, but hell, even wikipedia makes it very easy to understand who and what Pashtuns are. To help you out, Ill quote from it.
Pashtuns (Pashto: پښتون Paṣ̌tun, Pax̌tun, also rendered as Pushtuns, Pakhtuns, Pukhtuns), also called Pathans[10] (Urdu: پٹھان, Hindi: पठान Paṭhān) or ethnic Afghans,
For over 300 years, they reign as the dominant ethnic group in Afghanistan with nearly every ruler being a Pashtun.
The first part of the name, "Afghan", is an alternative name for the Pashtuns who are the founders and the largest ethnic group of the country. They probably began using the term Afghan as a name for themselves since at least the Islamic period and onwards. According to W. K. Frazier Tyler, M. C. Gillet and several other scholars "the word Afghan first appears in history in the Ḥudūd al-ʿĀlam in 982 AD." Al-Biruni referred to Afghans as various tribes living on the western frontier mountains of the Indus River, which would be the Sulaiman Mountains
The term "Afghan", is synonymous with "Pashtun", is promoted as a national identity.[2] It is, however, hard to combine the varying groups. Often the Pashtun are referred to as Afghans while some of the other groups hold on to their ethnic names such as Tajiks, Hazaras, Uzbeks, and so on. The citizens of Afghanistan are in many ways some what distinct from the notion of ethnic Afghans as a result of this understanding. In order to solve the problem, in recent years, the term "Afghanistani"[3] (meaning of or from Afghanistan and analogous to Uzbekistani[4], Pakistani[5], or Tajikistani[6]) has been suggested for the citizens of Afghanistan in contrast to ethnic Afghans who would be the Pashtuns.
I think enough has been said on this matter, I am sure you are educated enough to understand my stance.
