The reason why Philippines decided to buy the "Karmota Class" frigate of India

Mars? The Mars probe is the same as Chandrayaan-1 platform, the rocket delivered was a PSLV, do we want to talk more about this? Both platforms are third grade tech compared to current Chinese capabilities.
That's your opinion.. while china may have heavier launchers ... it does not mean all other launchers are "third grade." The needle and the sword have their own places.
PS: Chandrayaan and PSLV are our own designs.
The key technology was the deep space tracking, PROVIDED BY NASA.
Wow. the DSN is like using international roaming .. it just relay the signals .. Why should india spend all the money to set up stations around the world(due to rotation of the earth) when our key objective is increasing our satellite launch capability? Interplanetary missions are far and few. As far as the tech to make these stations, we have them in India and soon in Vietnam. That is definitely not a "key" technology .. just relay stations and antennas.

:yahoo: Mars had always been a secondary objective for China, the moon was the first. That's why it was a piggyback on Russian mission in 2011. The Indians failed in their moon mission and needed an ego boost, so they took the risk and launch Mangalyaan. Get it? If you take away the American from the equation, you are nothing. :cheesy:
ok... now china want to launch a Mars mission. Let me see if China uses DSN or if they increase their own station count.
Yes, building rifles and tanks is the most basic yardstick, if you can't even do that, most likely the other effort are screwdriver and sticker tech. We copy Russian frigates and attack helo? I don't think we just copy? WE COPY, BEG, BORROW, STEAL, ABSORB, INNOVATE, DEVELOP any countries technology, not just the Russians.
Cool. And others choose not to do that?

LOL, the methaphor of PSLV being a needle compared to Chinese launchers being a sword is awesome.:D

Well, action speaks louder than words. You can call a cat a lion by painting it yellow and sticking a mane to the face. See below:

It's not that China only want to launch it now, it already LAUNCHED a mission aboard the Russia rocket but it exploded. We are only doing a Mars mission in 2020, with rover and sample return after the moon mission. We have better rockets and space technology than India, what's stopping us anyway?:taz:

Wanting to reverse engineer (copy) and being able to reverse engineer is two different things.

LOL yeah what it has to do with technology involved with Martian satellite. Are u aware of problems China had? Poor quality crappie hardwares and software let to disconnect of communication lol. U don't have any clue what you are taking about.

And you don't copy Russia frigate and hello in this matter. As they built it for u Lol. That's even more than embarrassing

I guess you still don't get it, YOU DON'T HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY TO GO TO MARS. The technology to go to Mars is the same as the technology to go to the moon, the difference being the freaking deep space tracking. Understand? Poor quality crap, and yet you buy our stuff in the billions, modern trains, telecom equipment, port machinery, power equipment and yes plastic toys.:yahoo:

Can you tell me what problems we have with Chang'e 1 and Chang'e 2?

Can you tell me which Russian frigate and helo we are buying? We are not rich like Indians, spending on imports. It's either the tech is very advanced, we buy, we copy, we absorbed, we develop. Nothing is bought without the purpose of gaining knowledge and technology. Btw, there is nothing advanced about frigates.

Or do you mean INDIA IS BUYING RUSSIAN FRIGATES? Pathetic

Or the Russians buying our frigates?:victory:

Well PSLV is a light launcher. It simply cannot launch heavier payloads because it was not designed to do so... just like a needle is designed to sew not tear.

Good. All I said is China will use DSN or will place it's own stations? Even we have the tech to make tracking stations, and so does China. It is just a case of economics.

People.... Hans patriot is a Serial trolling , has been doing this to a number of threads as well as dead/cold threads. Suggest is not to engage him or you will be forced to bring yourselves to his level!!

Please Stick to the topic

Is there any official announce regarding the deal ? Has GRSE proved its financial backing from government to the customer ?.

India has attained self-sufficiency, knowledge and expertise in designing, developing and building naval platforms, missiles and rotary wing aircraft. It's time GOI steps up efforts to export these platforms to friendly nations.

are all the subsystems made in India ?? Not that anyone would object the sale to Philippines

Well the diesel engines are built by Pielstick of France, the gearbox and Propulsion Power Transmission Systems by DCNS and is armed with OTO Melara 76mm Super Rapid gun by license built in India which is has it's origin in Italy and The Brahmos (Indo-Russian). I guess none of these subsystems are supplied by countries which are anti-Philippines and also Philippines has the flexibility to choose the kind of subsystems that can be integrated onboard.

Yes, you are right - at every battle on the seas, there will be at the side a panel of judges which will include Simon Cowell and they will be judging the best looking or ugly ship!!
Neutrally speaking, it does look like shit.

Not sure how deep is the Indian DSN. If it was that capable, you wouldnt need NASA.
