ALL you major cities which contribute towards your nationhood will be decimated. Your are 1 billion, we are 200 million, hence we got less cities with major population. The population density is still very much rural, mostly in the plains of Panjab and its river systems basins.

Point is, can India sustain as a functional state after losing the likes of Delhi (its capital and nerve center), Bombay (its financial center) and other cities like Calcutta, Madras etc? The answer is emphatic no. There are more centrifugal forces in India then Pakistan which will let lose after the power and hold of centre is gone.

There are more chances of Pakistan keeping its statehood after nuke exchange, then India.

NFS use of Nuclear weapons will not apply to Pak. If India believes Pak will go ahead with a Nuke launch, India will initiate a decapitation strike to limit damage.

1. indians have relatives in pakistan , i mean mamu ,chacha , nana wagerah .
2. my afghan brothers are also living there .

All these so called NFS and nuke doctrines as useless and worth the paper they are written on. Do you or anyone with little bit of brain cells active in India believe that Pakistan has prepared its nuclear response and capability keeping in mind the Indian NFS non sense? Pakistan is not into talking half measures. First, second, or even third wave, whatever is required to obliterate India , without taking into consideration the Indian response, will be done. Considering Pakistan got working and active nuclear strike force which can deliver from land, air and sea, which also, crucially, are highly mobile, there is a strong chance of India losing its nuke capability in Pakistani first strikes as Indian capabilities are pretty static.

India is a fully functioning federal state unlike our neighbors where every thing is decided in rawalpindi. It is pretty amusing to hear when some one thinks deep state dictatorship controlled from one place will survive and a distributed system will get destroyed.

I like your optimism if you think India can function as state after losing Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta and other major cities. There is a strong chance we will see that portion of land which carry the legacy of colonial India, going back to many princely states. A reset perhaps.

And any survivors would find themselves in the lowest forms of existence much like those few dinosaurs that managed to survive the asteroid that wiped out their kind, only to linger for a short while longer in a sort of scorched hell on earth.

I stand by my claims. There is a difference between being toed on a truck and integrating the BM to fully qualified TEL which can work on any terrain.

Those nukes tested by Pakistan n 1998 were all Uranium based . None of them were plutonium based weapons .

If what u saying is true , then they must be new and untested weapons .

Good Lord did you even read what the expert said? Pakistan switched to a plutonium program from the late 90’s onwards. There are four reactors which churn out plutonium for separation at plants like Chashma.

India has a healthy stockpile of nuclear weapons and despite Pakistan's rapid pace of developing new nuclear warheads, India is fairly confident of its war capabilities. Currently, India owns 130-140 nuclear warheads as compared to Pakistan's 140-150, according to the latest assessment of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.

"India and Pakistan are both expanding their nuclear weapon stockpiles as well as developing new land, sea and air-based missile delivery systems. China continues to modernize its nuclear weapon delivery systems and is slowly increasing the size of its nuclear arsenal," said the latest SIPRI report.

While the twin threat of China and Pakistan cannot be taken lightly, India has built a credible nuclear deterrent which is capable of inflicting heavy damage in a war-like situation.

"The number of warheads does not really matter. With a declared no-first use (NFU) nuclear policy, India is keen to ensure survivability and credibility of our assets and NC3 (nuclear command, control, and communication) systems for assured second-strike capabilities…We have achieved this to a large extent," a source told TOI.

"For India, nuclear weapons are not war-fighting weapons, but credible minimum deterrence, with the certainty of massive retaliation against adversaries," the source further explained.

Pakistan has a handful of cities and for that India does not really need more than 10 to 15 Nuclear Weapons. Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi are Pakistan's only economic hubs. If you take them out there will be no Pakistan left. India on the other hand has more than 4,000 cities and towns with a distributed population. This is the main reason why Pakistan even with a fewer nukes on the Indian side fears a retaliation with guaranteed extermination.

India recently started the process of inducting the country's first intercontinental ballistic missile (Agni-V) with a range of over 5,000 km almost reaching every nook and corner of China.

While there has been a concerted effort from both India and China to grow economically and settle the differences through talks, India's nuclear capabilities do have a key role to play when it comes to foiling China's expansionist plans.

I wouldn’t bother with posts like this after experts themselves have written about the power of Pakistan’s weapons. You can write what you want , what is fact is Pakistan possesses weapons of great power and with each passing day the power of these weapons will be enhanced to be so destructive that people will shudder.
