The real Seoul story: At the NSG plenary, China behaved not as an enlightened power

China needs a very tight slap. That's all.
Oh? Similar to the war in Iraq? Or the war in Afghanistan? By doing these, the USA to China? ... But did you know ? that Mr Obama's brother also live in China, has been 12 years. Sir, back to reality.

.
Well, while our Indian friends are "struggling in convincing themselves their "NSG Dreams" is still as real as it can get
You keep spoiling their party with your "OBSESSIVE BITCH SLAP" one liner as usual
Oh well, at least this time for a change with NEW "TIGHT SLAP" only:sarcastic:

Why are you spoiling the fun :(

. .
Usually, I am critical of our own media, but there is not a lot of wrong that they did in this particular case. And the Chinese, for all their attitude of sticking to the principled stand of NPT being the absolute requirement for entry into NSG, violated the very same principle of non-proliferation that they agreed to abide by, by proliferating material and design to despot regimes around the world. If this is not hypocritical, then I don't know what is!

Whenever the Chinese talk about maintaining the balance in South Asia, they only want India to be tied down and confined to South Asia. Let's be clear, it is not because of their concern for deeper than and higher than entity!

As I see it, the Chinese are only throwing the rule book at India to create hurdles for India since France was allowed into NSG even before they signed NPT. India on her part, should make it clear to China that it will have consequences and move on! Let us first grow our economy and get to a position where we can stand up to their bullying tactics.

Aah yes. obvious, nuanced, graduation. All intelligent words stitched together directed towards us plebeians. Thanks for the enlightenment. :-)

cool story btw.

Leave him alone. The Sri Lankan is here for cheap fun at India's expense. He springs like mushroom after rains anytime there is a chance to bash India - even if it means cheerleading for the Pakistanis or the Chinese - masquerading his hatred for India with his unsolicited advice which doesn't add any value to the discussion at hand.

I wish India takes a leaf out of his favorite country - China's own rule book and builds artificial islands all around his own island and blocks his sorry a** out!

So pointing out the actual events is now whining?

Your post is nothing more than what people already know, we are just exposing a Chinese TTA's fiction and desperation.

It seems, some people, including even the TTA's, make use of PDF to vent out. PDF apparently serves them therapeutic purposes - akin to taking daily dose of medication.

Don't take that away from them, please!

Isn't "tight slap" South Asian slang?

When I type it into Google all the hits are Indian.

This is not standard English for sure.
no he's english
as for india and the nsg their application is being stalled as the nsg can look at pakistans application along with indias at the same time. this will avoid and exceptions and any favours. and will result in both countries being welcomed into the nsg at the same time.

Sure, English of South Asian descent.

Nobody else in the world says "tight slap" other than South Asians.

If that logic holds true, what happened with MTCR? Why did India get it while China did not get it and Pakistan no where in the picture.

There is zero chance of Pakistan getting into NSG, whether India get's in or not has no bearing on this issue.

Basically, India sold their sovereignty to America by agreeing to sign the CISMOA/LSA which would allow American troops to operate out of Indian soil, in exchange for the NSG seat.

India, US agree on logistics agreement, to be signed in a month - The Hindu

But they seriously overestimated America's ability to deliver the NSG seat. As they found out recently.

It seems India has no idea of what "veto power" means. It means we can shut it down anytime, for any reason. In fact we don't even need to give a reason.

India paid out of their nose for US support, but they did not give a similar payment to us, so they didn't get anything in return.

This post reflects perfectly the transactional approach that Chinese members have started adopting of late. As is typical of China and of Chinese members, everyone takes up the matter in close concert, in lockstep. It is amusing to consider a similar reaction from Indian members, rather than the outburst of argument that Amartya Sen captured so well in his book on the Indian outlook on addressing any interesting issue.

I am glad that I am Indian. I am glad about India's way of doing things, whatever quibbles I may have about the present dispensation. Without in any way deprecating a great civilisation which has contributed much wealth to the human way of life, their ways will never do for us. They are welcome to it, and their all-weather friends are welcome to rejoice about this, whether or not these friends are themselves capable of emulating that civilisational approach.

Haha.
What an idiotic way to express your butt hurt.

Indiana you better behave and learn to deal with countries with dignity. Better not give lectures to China.
As they care a damn.

And how, precisely, are you involved in refereeing a discussion between China and India?

India is living under the illusion that it will gain access to every nuclear club by breaking and bending the rules. This illusion is amplified when they have the support of the US.

You're right on the money. It isn't Christmas every day. These treaties and rules were invented for a reason. The Americans can try to sneak India into the fold by cheating, but the world isn't crazy. There is a limit to cheating. First, the Americans were able to offer their own nuclear tech against all odds by making an exception. The world has become wiser after that mishap. If we start making exceptions to nations who don't even adhere basic treaties, this will set a terrible precedent. All treaties will become null and void.

This sort of answer degrades you, not us. Try to retain some semblance of dignity and good manners, and try not to descend to the level of slum women quarreling over the community tap.

You are one of the very few Indian members that I respect, even if we do not necessarily agree. I appreciate the civil and reasoned manner in which you try to make your point. Kudos.

Thank you, but you have caught me by surprise. Why should we have to agree to respect each other?

PS: An amusing thought that occurs to me is that I actually get rather more respect from those members who are NOT Indian than those that are Indian! I suppose I am a pain in the arse.
