The real Seoul story: At the NSG plenary, China behaved not as an enlightened power

Thats also fine.. There are no permanent friends or foes in world politics i'm in complete agreement with you,

Thats exactly how the US hit a home run from this whole NSG fiasco, They promoted India knowing very well that China and few other countries wont waiver protocol that they the US themselves set in the NSG admission, They knew India will never get the nod, So they duped India though their campaign, India was left battered and bruised diplomatically, China was made to be the bad guy and created a further rift between India and China at a time when there is power play in the SCS and the US attempts of establishing a military foothold in South Asia.. Again the super power wins

But what makes you think that we didnt knew the Chinese mood ?
Our MEA already got the wind after their two days visit to Beijing .
But it was only the Chinese that completely opposed .
We also need a reason to further policy creation against China .Now this gives us excellent opportunity .
We are so eager to see that how long they can oppose us and also eager to know their position in next plenary in the
this year .

Both India and US want to make things clear because some parties like CPM still supports China .Now they are totally making contradictory statements .We need people support and this fiasco gave us that support .

Our polices with Beijing was always careful .We always considered their concerns .We didnt participated Japan after first Malabar exrercise because of Chinese concerns and in turn they supported a terrorist in UN and now on we will continously participate Japan .
This also gives us good diplomatic space .

Why should they come for backing China with this statement ?A clear deviation from previous stand
That is why I said India also gained some from this fiasco

Cool story bro. Are these facts or your opinion?

.
And did you ever stop to think that this could be a ploy to showcase China with an anti-India policy out in the open?

That India could realistically focus now on choosing who its allies are in this game?

Like i said and agreed with my mate @SrNair .. There are no permanent friends or foes in global diplomacy.. The problem lies when most people have no idea about realpolitik, Hence become bitter, disappointing and personal

Every nation works on thier self interests China, India or the US.. China is not anti India per se, They are looking after thier own interests, So does India, The Indian navy took part in naval exercisers in SCS along with Japan and the USNavy protagonists of China in that specific theater just few days before.. So does that showcase India with an anti Chinese policy in the open ?

How about those missiles launched from India that were loudly celebrated as Beijing killer by the veritable Indian media ?

The thing is the GOI and it's brokers are more prudent at this game than us in online forums trying to make sense out of some blog of a angry man.. Anyway i reckon it's futile to make sense to people who are still smarting from the whole episode as it clearly show.. Maybe in a week or so when things cool down, there will be more sensible posts

Cool story bro. Are these facts or your opinion?

Nope those are quite obvious to anyone with an iota of commonsense, Or atleast nuanced on basic global politics, Or maybe atleast graduated from high school

. . . . . . Now pay us, it's that simple.. . .

.....So China doesn't have a right to ask for payment as well? :azn: . . . .
we have a saying " A guilty man has thousand excuse. " and I see it here. Anyways one thing is clear China is so petty that they have stooped to asking bribe ! They are no diffrent from the cleark in a government office. Someone pls inform them the mistook us for their "Best Friend".

.
But it was only the Chinese that completely opposed .

Wrong New Zealand, Ireland, Turkey and Austria were opposed to it from the start and would have never weivered from the NPT

Funnily, we see much more high intensive whining from most of our neighbors..

Not really why would anyone else whinge when it was India that failed, If at all they would celebrate

I also thought about it earlier but it can be double crossed if China and India have any secret plans which so far don't look like they have :). I am sure if China had agreed to Indian admission in NSG then any other small 'neutral' country may had opposed India (potential double game by US? None of US or China is trust worthy :p:)

Aah yes. obvious, nuanced, graduation. All intelligent words stitched together directed towards us plebeians. Thanks for the enlightenment. :-)

cool story btw.

The funniest aspect of the whole incident was the poor Pakistanis..The chinese pleaded their case a week before the plenary which got Pakistani hopes alive and they went and applied for it. Funnily, even the chinese did not raise their application, wasn't even considered and the chinese had to pull every trick available to stop discussing India's nomination. What happened to the Pakistani application. .The poor souls are reduced to celebrating that India didn't get through.

Don't worry about Pakistan application, It has done its purpose quite well.....Weakened India's case that if one non signatory of NPT wants to become a member, others non signatories will apply too, so rules have to be bent for everyone.

You guys are like a rich kid who show offs and think world revolves around India but when showed mirror, starts crying, abusing and resorts to name calling. What a pathetic bunch of losers you are....

Just like Indians were celebrating how they stopped our F16s, bragging their diplomacy power, modi magic, power of India...........We are celebrating that how we stopped your entry in NSG....Learn to give credit, don't act like a loser....

Those Indians who brought up the idea of stopping our F16s were fools

Those Indians who implemented the plan and got happy on stoppage of F16 sale were more fools than former one....

Those Indians who got happy due to stoppage of F16 sale were the biggest fools ever lived on face of earth........Those poor souls didn't consider Pakistan will play the same game and pay back India in same coin.

Now.....Its our turn. Its so lovely, worth seeing when you guys do dance all over the world, unwanted hugging, begging Pakistan and China to support our case as we won't oppose Pakistan's bid.

The trauma of failure has shocked the bakhts.......Isn't it? Whether you get NSG membership or not....Your humiliation and defeat has been recorded in history....First set back to Modi and company....More will come, just wait and watch......:D

There are many possibilities mate.. The thing is there are very few people here that have an understanding of realpolitik.. The result was a foregone conclusion, I really cant fathom all this disappointment

You can't blindly trust the US as well :-)

Yeah and having Chinese nuclear submarines in the port of Gwadar was not something which should have been considered, right?

Also lets forget how China armed Pakistan with nuclear bombs and missiles directly, that was Indian appeasement.

NSG never meant anything to us--- we can get every nuke stuff available in the market . It was always you folks, obsessed with uppity titles--- We just spoiled the party, the nsg rung m bhungg :P and left you folks to moan n sigh over it------
Cheers doc

You can't blindly trust the US as well :-)

Its not about the US or the trust issues, they all might be there, but there is a way to asses them. Sheer contempt for my country masquerading as silly analysis pontificated by a self important Ahole is what got my goat.

I guess you need to delve deeper into the NSG issue, new Zealand, Ireland, Austria are called evangelist states that usually oppose everything nuclear..those states are insignificant when it comes to nuclear trade.

Our biggest concerns were Australians, Canadians - who have started started supplying uranium to India, nuclear tech from Russia, US, France are all going to be implemented soon..The only serious nation left is Japan who most likely will have a bilateral agreement with India soon after the Chinese action.

This is long term that's being played out.

Again every body serves national interests, Tit for tat if it comes to that, India does what in self interest to them and China does whats in interest to them, Problem arrives when one party think they're holier than thou, Then the perception turns in to victimhood
