The real Seoul story: At the NSG plenary, China behaved not as an enlightened power

.
That's fine.. Congrats.. As i said there is nothing wrong being optimistic but optimism has to be within realism

But rhetoric does'nt achieve goals, Being realistic makes it's easier
And we are realistic my friend .
We know how to play diplomacy .That is why we joined both MTCR and SCO simultaneously .
We wont allow anyone to dictate our policies and decisions .
Like some others we wont say permanent friends .foes such BS .We only cares our own permanent interests and we will ensure that our citizens wont face any issue when we pursue that goal .

Its just a matter of time our Chinese friend here will link his all famous TOI article of Nehru and 1962

See even when we link sources from the Indian Army itself (Henderson-Brooks report) you guys won't believe it.

If you won't even believe your own Army's military reports, then what will you guys believe?

Actual events through a blog ? A blog is someones personal view and at this some one who seems to be highly disappointed and bitter over the whole issue.. Hardly pointing out actual facts

If you actually read threads a month before the nsg, you will notice that every Indian poster anticipated the chinese move.

No one is disappointed, it's just a game of cat and mouse.

Thats also fine.. There are no permanent friends or foes in world politics i'm in complete agreement with you,

Thats exactly how the US hit a home run from this whole NSG fiasco, They promoted India knowing very well that China and few other countries wont waiver protocol that they the US themselves set in the NSG admission, They knew India will never get the nod, So they duped India though their campaign, India was left battered and bruised diplomatically, China was made to be the bad guy and created a further rift between India and China at a time when there is power play in the SCS and the US attempts of establishing a military foothold in South Asia.. Again the super power wins

Yeah that's why I said "agreed to sign" in my first post. Are you unable to read?

You already promised to sign away your sovereignty, your argument is that you have not signed it "YET", so China does not have a right to ask for similar payment for NSG/UNSC support. :partay:

Please stop embarrassing yourself

As I already said the blog was a consolidation of news about the NSG bid

Asked about reports that Beijing was blocking India's membership, he said the NSG has so far not agreed to any agenda item on participation of non-NPT countries. Therefore, there was no point of China supporting or opposing India's membership.

Would you like a quote from the MEA India on the same cliam you say is just a blog?

"Some countries did raise procedure-related issues but not a single country apart from that one country opposed India's membership of NSG," the MEA spokesperson said in an obvious reference to China , reasserting the claim regarding the procedural hurdles at NSG.

On the contrary form the rhetoric emanating not just from this forum but Indian media as a whole, No offense but a women scorned may sound less bitter and disappointed

Best to let go and try a knew.. Maybe sign the NPT next time and if China objects still then that would indeed be a diplomatic victory for India indeed

From This....

To This....

China is behaving not as an enlightened power but as a strategic small-timer, with the petty, perfidious and short-termist mindset of a Pyongyang dictator or a Rawalpindi general. India is honour-bound to send it a tough message. There is no option.

Typical Indian loser mentality......if you can't beat them.....then simply abuse them.....keeps the home crowd entertained.

And did you ever stop to think that this could be a ploy to showcase China with an anti-India policy out in the open?

That India could realistically focus now on choosing who its allies are in this game?

It seems India has no idea of what "veto power" means. It means we can shut it down anytime, for any reason. In fact we don't even need to give a reason.

India paid out of their nose for US support, but they did not give a similar payment to us, so they didn't get anything in return.
They thought, all the countries will obey uncle sam as if all other countries have sold their souls to uncle sam like India did and when all side with India China will be left alone and China will be left with no option but yield to the pressure...what a load of crap they had in their minds...Even if they all support India...none of them will force China...Are they stupid enough to jeopardise their relations with China for India...I don't think so...not in a million years.

Why is China becoming more like Pakistan day by day? Opposing everything India does. Don't they consider themselves a world leading economy :-)? China opposing India's NSG servers no purpose in reality. If China thinks India will be using Nuclear material for nukes to be used against China in a war, then it must know there are always other ways to acquire Nuke material from already somewhat hostile western countries like Aus which is increasing its military budget year after year to counter China. All India needs NSG is for easier trading of Nuclear material to make up some of the energy deficit in coming years since increasing nuclear share in power generation is our target. And if China has opposition to this, means it has opposition to progression of Indian economy.

Funnily, we see much more high intensive whining from most of our neighbors..

Another funny fact is a major proliferator like the Chinese dictating and harping on NPT to someone who has the cleanest record.

NSG is just a stepping stone...The chinese got unraveled in the diplomatic stage, and when we have nuclear deals with all the nuclear supplier's it's just as I said...A cat and mouse game.

@Chinese-Dragon Being a think tank and copy pasting earlier posts, which you think were clever- is totally unexpected and slightly sad. It demonstrate a certain trait of character. And then I look at your country of origin and everything becomes clear.
Thats the true power of your nationality, NOT that 'veto' that you keep on harping upon in every other post. :P

Veto is ONLY useful to put a lid on an issue. Its utility degrades when veto is used 'against' a nation. That too going against popular support.
Yes you can use that once and twice going against the grain of popular intent and support, but eventually you will have to give in. It is inevitable.

To gloat over it is immature and well .. suits you buddy. Keep at it.

Modi did offer some reactor/industrial park deals but that's so stingy in comparison.

I remember you calling reactor/ industrial parks as peanuts in your earlier posts. I actually though about it and it reminded me of a saying in corporate world. "If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys".
Another way of looking at it might be "If you see a monkey offer it peanuts".
That pretty much explains the offer made by Modi :)
