But in your initial post you said "most of the world". In case you hadn't noticed, 1 former Pakistani politician is not "most of the world". He is 1 individual. Not 4 billion people globally.

Not quite right. PPP figures are usually much higher than the nominal figures based on inflation at any one given time. As inflation is subject to change, those figures become more conjectural. That's why they are not normally used as standard economic measures wheras nominal GDP figures are.

Inflation doesn't change wildly within a year generally.

You cannot compare per capita income in usd terms unless you know how much that can actually buy you in a certain country.

For example usd 2000 will buy me a lot more in India/Pakistan than in USA. For per capita income you just cant compare nominal terms, has to be PPP.
