What's new

The Rafale has proven in Mali pleads French Air Force

So did not US have enough money to promote their F16 and 18s?

Not hungry enough for the business, after all the US wasn't desperate for a 'first sale'.

Means nothing, the IAF would have selected Santa's sleigh as the MMRCA winner for the right amount of cash.

Sour grapes?

LOL, I am sure you still believe in santa and hang up a stocking every christmas.

Hey , guess what , If I had a say in IAF's decisions , I would chose Santa's sleigh over F-18 any day.

Me too buddy!

Do you really believe International arms sales is free of corruption? :)

@topic

thank you for the demonstration. But I think there were hardly any radar in Mali. But then again,if IAF is okay, then I am as well. Those flyboys know their job better.

Do you really believe that santa actually flies down from the north pole on a sled and slides down the chimmney and leaves you a gift?

yeah my post is as retarded as yours, your earlier post did not qualify for a think tank post, if in reality you would have actually factored in 600 parameters, millions of dollars, thousands of man hours, geo politics, many establishments that went into the actual selection process of the MMRCA. The US unvested a lot of time, effort and money into it, if the old platforms fielded by the US had been selected can you at any level comprehend the geo political implications of it? I guess you can't because you still are in your childhood comparing a rafale program to santa clauses sled. Are you even distantly aware what France went through to first initiate and then establish the rafale program, and what winning the MMRCA means to them and Europe?

There are no Saints in this business.

It's not business for him, he is not for sale in the first place. He even donated the watch and many other goodies(worth lakhs) presented to him by obama and many others to a museum in kerala.

point is marca deal was a very professional selection method, when there was an allegation against rafale selection he even ordered a enquiry and after that only the deal got back on track.

YAWN,
Hey dude; when is your wifey returning to post here?
She usually did not come up with inane stuff like this.

I'm not all that clued up when it comes to hi-tec defence machines. However I think Libya & Mali missions can't be the benchmark to measure Rafale's capabilities. Were they up against any capable air force or for that matter any hi-tec ground to air missiles? Don't think so...

The French have used Rafale to kick the Libyans and the now the Malians ***.:woot:

Rafale is old technology that would be destroyed by the likes of the F-22, T-50, J-20 and J-31.

Hope India gets some useful technology transfer for buying this out-of-date aircraft.

F-22, in service. T-50, J-20 and J-31. Still in Prototype phase.

Also, all of them are 5th generation. Rafale is 4++.

Rafale is battle proven. No matter if against easier targets. We can study its performance in various missions taken by rafale. We don't have that knowledge about prototype ones.

Also, we are making FGFA with Russia, a derivative of T-50.
