The partition of Afghanistan for peace

.
As, i said - if they want to join in, there will be zero resistance but at the same time, i have no reason to believe that it will be a peacemaker with the North.
Dude, don't read too much into over exaggerated non-pakhtun population stats. They are irrelevant, and so is the 'north'

Its, not because it will become another political jigsaw, you have my word!

Lets talk about your India-Pakistan example..Imagine what we could have done without the the wars between the two nations, the border skirmishes, infiltration, terrorism,Kashmir conflict and ofcourse the continuous arms race.A unified country would have put an end to all these problems.Presently,we are loosing crores of rupees buying jets, building up stockpiles, both the countries.None of these would have been there.

Idealistic dreaming.

A united India would not have lasted a whole decade and would have succumbed to a civil war resulting in many more pieces like Yugoslavia or USSR rather than the two that happened.

What happened in 47 was a controlled explosion where the output was known. What would have happened had '47 not occured would have been an uncontrollable chain reaction.

I petition for a larger KPK! :partay:
Do you mean The whole afghanistan should m=be merged with KPK province of Pakistan, That would be great then We will have pak Army All over the larger KPK and it will be in control!!!

.
Afghanistan wont be divided, Afghans wont let it happen. IF Pashtuns want to join us, we will welcome them with both arms opened, but not at the cost of a divided Afghanistan which would be the first one in its history. Pakistan and Afghanistan are born to integrate, not necessarily in union but in modern times, such things can be carried out through mutual cooperation.

.
This is just a dream, no one can divide Afghanistan there would be no peace in Afghanistan until a home grown solution is born and a lot of things are bogus in this article I wouldn't bother to quote them as I have read 100s of such articles from the last 10 years!!!

Well since you call this a kaka doodle dream what do u think will work please share your idea. And don't come back with well this and well that since you rejected this i am sure u have some thing in your mind you call it home grown share please.

Rora the way I see it :

Lar Pashtun - Pakistani & hence my own flesh & blood which means no sacrifice is too great to bring about development & progress in their areas & amongst their community & certainly none when it comes to protecting them for 'they' are 'us' & 'we' are 'them'.

Bar Pashtun - I don't give a wooden nickle about what they do in their own lands, whether they succeed or not, whether they progress or not as long as it doesn't have a detrimental effect on Pakistan ! God bless them & God bless Afghanistan but they aren't a part of the family for me like you guys are.

Is there any verification of this claim?

Talk of partition would be an admission by NATO that plan A (puppet government in Afghanistan) has failed, that the Taliban have effectively won, and that it's time for plan B (break up the country to maintain a puppet foothold in the region).

It seems more of an analysis................

2) Regional Consequences of the Afghan-US Deal: The strategic cooperation agreement between the United States and Afghanistan and the ensuing concession of military bases inside the Afghan territory to American forces would severely undermine the position of Pakistan and render it highly vulnerable. And needless to say, in the regional equation of power, the weakening of Pakistan would benefit its old rival and neighbour, India. But, this is not the only problem: According to the plan proposed by the US General David Petraeus, the international border between Pakistan and Afghanistan or the Durand Line for the Pashtun people will be removed and thus only recognized by the Afghan and Pakistani governments only. In more simple words, the plan means that the Pakistani regions that are populated by Pashtun tribes will be in a situation similar to the Pashtun-residing areas in Afghanistan and conceded to the Pakistani Taliban. Such developments will make Pakistan vulnerable and confront its future with uncertainty and ambiguity. Moreover, the Islamic Republic of Iran would become concerned about the strategic treaty between its eastern neighbour and the United States, its declared nemesis. Among the military bases estimated to be conceded to the US forces are the Shindand air base in Herat and Kandahar military site near the Afghan-Iranian border, which are both aimed most probably at controlling Iran and keeping a close watch on its activities.

Very well said. Looking at what the current Pakistan has become, it would have been terrible if we both had stayed as one country.

Good thing that we partitioned.

But in Afghanistan's case, it would be bloody.

Just hope it doesn't come to that.

. . . .
USA will never ever let Afghanistan land joining Pakistan so you guys are living in dream world if you think so.

Tarzan why would we want Afghans joining us ? We want them out of our country not more to be associated with us ! :what:
