The myth of “India shining”

India may or may not be shining, but we're teetering on bankruptcy.

Indeed, just today there's an article from the Globe and Mail regarding our precarious position, and Pakistan Railways has been in the news with that horrible word of 'bankruptcy' floating around it in recent days.

If India isn't shining, then Pakistan is dying a slow death. We're in no position to judge, or take any perceived high ground in this debate.

As per the stats from jawazat..

1.2 Mil Pakistanis
1.4 Mil Indians
0.7 Mil Bangladesh

The jawazat can only give records based on the number of Iqamas issued. The census will cover everyone including the illegals and over stayers. The visa quotas keep changing based on Government policies. Indians at one time crossed 1.5Mil but since last two years there has been decline. Because the Bangladesh visas were closed for a year it automatically resulted in increase of Pakistani labour quotas.

India may still be in process to shine and need lots of brasso but we are totally rusted and falling apart already.
