Aren't those 100 empty frames used for training because electronics not developed? :coffee: In any case, Su-35S is more advanced than F-35.
Russia describes the Su-35S as "generation 4++". Even the Russians don't consider it a 5th generation fighter. Further, the Su-35 has lost out on all international bids (SKor, Aus, China) thus far to straight 4th gen or 4.5 gen fighters, or directly to the F-35 (for Australia). Venezuela and Indonesia have expressed interest, but nothing has come of it so far. The deal with China has fallen through for undisclosed reasons. The deal with South Korea included an offer of technology transfer AND final assembly in Korea AND lower price. Still lost out to the F-15K.

More F-35s have been delivered than Su-35S models. The Su-35 does not sound in any way like a superior aircraft. But its not American, so I guess for you that makes it automatically better.

Lol
If you appreciate SU 35s on the basis simulation then you are wrong.I know there was an article that in simulation SU 35 defeat F35.
But that simulation is based limited knowledge.
F 35s full capabiloty is still classified.
These Su 35 is almost equal to our Su 30 MKI that is why we wont purchase that system even if it offered to us.
Lol

100 for training purpose.

Well, the Su-35 is better in one respect, better looking. The F-35 is just ugly. :-(

Su-35 has 3D thrust vectoring and way better radar. F-35 is mainly for ground strike, not for air to air, too fat, too bulky, too slow, too sluggish. Oh, and let's not forget MiG-35 :p:

F-35 is stealthier than F-22
The F-35 doesn’t have the altitude, doesn’t have the speed [of the F-22], but it can beat the F-22 in stealth.

You should get Senheiser to back you up. That would make this thread complete.

Besides, aircraft isn't everything. I don't see the US using diesel powered subs like Russia does.

Diesel powered subs, so what, most of their navy need tugboats because they are smoking piles of junk. How can you even compare Russia with America, America can attack ANYWHERE in the world with big numbers and the most advanced weaponry in the world by far, Russia can attack its neighbours with its low paid uneducated soldiers who look like they should be in a prison gang.

Diesel subs are more useful if you are staying close to home. The US does not have a lot of need for coastal defense, inasmuch as no-one else has that much naval reach. The US retired it's last combat diesel sub in 1990, and its last research diesel sub in 2007. We've had them, found nukes to be more useful in our situation.

The USS Blueback (retired in 1990) is now a museum ship in Portland, Oregon, if you wish to tour it. The USS Dolphin (retired in 2007) is a museum ship in San Diego, also tourable.

A number of years ago when I was in Portland, I went in for the submarine experience with some friends at the science museum where the Blueback is moored, and that meant sleeping in it. I can't imagine how grown men spent months trapped in that thing. I could have lopped my own head off, and I still would have been too tall for those cots. It's unnerving sleeping in a space so shallow that the bunk above you is less than a foot from your face.
